I don't even watch the Walking Dead currently or have ever read it, but man, this is a cool concept!

Knowing The Walking Dead show however, it will probably drag the conflict on for far too long.

Actually its a really dumb concept given that the Walkers in this show only use smells to find victims - so there is no point of them exposing themselves to rotting and deceased parts of other survivors so much. Especially given when someone dies in the show they become a zombie.

A zombie bite is not needed to turn someone into a zombie in this show given they are all infected and the process can either be spread-up by zombie blood/bites.

Plus there are multiple factions, specifically Rick and his team, who actually go out to intentionally kill Walkers - so the whisperers would be mowed down much easier than the walkers and automatically be labelled as a target because they look like walkers.

Adding to that the point that the whisperers would be weaker and easier to kill than regular zombies. Along with this previous episodes have established that rain and other aspects would ruin the disguise so they have the possibility of the disguise failing and them being killed by zombies.

So;
- They are easier to kill than zombies
- The disguise can fail at any point (especially in rain)
- They are an easy target given they look like zombies
- They risk the chance of infection and could turn into zombies at any point
- They wouldn't be able to carry visible weapons for long without being spotted

Seems like a really stupid idea born of the concept of trying to design a villain that looks like a zombie but has the intelligence of a human.

They'll probably just save the Whisperers for Season 8. Negan definitely deserves a full season.

Is there going to be a "Common enemy" thing?

Hey Mark, not sure what show you've been watching, but there were no horse (or zombie) intestines involved in Rick's escape from the tank. None whatsoever.

I hope it isn't the Whisperers, it's way too early to introduce them

I'm thinking they are gearing up for the ending of the series. I think they'll have their fight with Negan, but in the end They will have to work together to take down the Whisperers, and after the war, the show will end. I don't see it going on much longer.

They're kinda setting up the Whisper's in Fear the Walking Dead
