'THE WALKING DEAD' Season 4 Will Have 2 Standalone Governor Episodes

Despite 'The Governor' (David Morrissey) being conspicuously absent from "The Walking Dead's" San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) trailer, the villainous character is said to have two episode devoted entirely to his story arc in Season 4.

As you can see, "The Governor" was not shown in the San Diego Comic-Con trailer for Season 4 of "The Walking Dead." This prompted quite a few fans of the zombie television program to question just how involved the maniacal evildoer would be amid reports of the zombie threat moving back to the forefront. A new report from TV Line serves to quell those fears, at least partially. The scoop spills that two of the sixteen episodes will be devoted entirely to what's going on with David Morrissey's character. This doesn't rule out the character appearing in other episodes, it simply confirms that he'll have two hour-long episodes focusing on what he's been up to since leaving Woodbury.

Ugh. They seriously should've killed him off in the season 3 finale. But if that were to happen, they would've needed to have an actual battle that was longer than 5 minutes instead of the lame anti-climactic conclusion we got in the finale. Now we have to go through 2 entire episodes solely devoted to him?

The character wasn't even consistent from episode to episode, which made it a lot less impactful when he finally snapped and killed all his people. The writing on this show is awful. The season 4 trailer looked great, but I'm not looking forward to more Governor.

The comics are fantastic. The TV series has been hit and miss with every season. Starting to get a bit bored of it.

Of course its gonna be different then the comic books. If it was the same as the comic book, it would be very suspensful.

If you dont like the show, dont watch it then.

It looks like this season has a higher budget to spend on. it kinda looks like a summer blockbuster, then a cable tv show.

everything is going to keep rocking with this show..mazzara was s03 showrunner and kept butting heads with kirkman..but now that gimple is showrunner he and kirkman have the same kind of writing..gimple wrote some of the best episodes of the show..so season 4 is gonna be a beast..i love what theyre doing

Can this feud just end this season? No need to drag it out. Just stick to the source material.

Most of the changes they made to the source material weren't even for the better. It's almost as if the writers of this show don't do adaptations right.

WHY!? The episodes in season 3 that had only one scene or no scene of the prison or Rick or Daryl were such shit, this show really needs to get back to 13 Episodes focused on the core characters, I haven't read the comic, but I'm seriously considering it.

The first 2 seasons were amazing in my opinion, the 3rd season had some awesome moments but was too dragged out, I have a feeling that Season 4 will be like Season 3 all over again. Just have Daryl put an arrow in The Governor's eye and move the fvck on

they couldn't do the [frick]ing end of season 3 right...but now is a chance to fix that...end the prison right with the governor and rick really building towards a war.

People saying season 3 are crazy. Season 3 was the best one yet. It showed us that in this world the humans are the most dangerous thing out there. Zombies don't hurt each other but humans do. There were plenty of intense and exciting moments my favorite being the Governor's first attack on the prison. Just because the ending didn't end on a jaw dropping cliffhanger doesn't mean it was bad. Also Andrea died that is pretty huge.
JULEZ13
JULEZ13 - 7/25/2013, 11:10 PM
Why are they devoting 2 whole hours to The Governor? Yeah, he was KINDA cool, but not cool enough to give him 2 whole hours to himself!! I don't care about him! I wanna know what Rick and the crew are up to!

This is pretty disappointing. I hope they kill him early in the season so they can move on to bigger and better things!

The show has roller coaster-ed real bad. Season one was a great start but kinda ran out of steam the last 2 episodes. AMC was real tight with the money on season 2 and the first half suffered while Frank Durabont butted heads with AMC over money. Second half of season 2 really picked up once Mazzara took over and continued on for the first half of season 3. For some reason Mazzara and Kirkman started feuding and the second half of Season 3 fell flat.
This is how I would rate the seasons so far
S1- 6/10
S2- 5/10
S2.5- 7/10
S3- 8/10
s3.5- 6/10

OttoManHandsome

You people bitch a lot. If you read the comics, they don't kill zombies in every issue. And if they went by the comics, then then the fans would know what will happen. So yeah they have to change it up a bit.

So quit your bitchin and just watch the freaking show.

I swear, no one can never please any of you ass holes.
