AMC will host its The Walking Dead NYCC panel later tonight, but ahead of that we have a first official look at the network's third series set in the post zombie-apocalyptic universe.

We still don't know exactly what to expect from the untitled show, but it will focus on a pair of young female protagonists (Alexa Mansour and Aliyah Royale) who are part of the first generation to "come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it.”

“The new show is really on its own separate path. It’s a different feel and different tone,” David Madden, president of programming, AMC entertainment networks, tells TheWrap. “It won’t look anything like the other two shows.”

The show, which may not actually have "The Walking Dead" in its title, will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and is set to premiere next year.

One thing I've noticed about both Waking Dead shows they don't have Asian actors and just one it'd be nice to have one being the main star.

@Spock0Clock - But wouldn't be like 15 years in at this point? Maybe 20 if about the first generation?
