After next week's episode reintroduces Mr. Freeze and Firefly, the following week will see the return of both Michael Chiklis (Fantastic Four) as Nathaniel Barnes and B.D. Wong (Jurassic World) as Hugo Strange.

It's a little unclear what brings the pair back into the mix, but it looks like the Court of Owls might have released Strange and asked him to conduct experiments on the still clinically insane Barnes. Meanwhile, Gordon discovers the Court's true intentions and speeds around town seeking their secret weapon.

Check out the twelve new hi-resolution promotional photos from episode eighteen, titled "Light The Wick," below:

@RancidBane - I will say for every show the masses on here say will fail for DC, they tend to make it.

The only show that everyone rooted for was Constantine.....and that one got the ax.

@RancidBane - Man I hear that. It started out really good when it was kind of a crime drama starring Jim Gordon. Now that it's 'Monster of the week', it's pretty terrible imo.

@DoctorCranium - yup that's my complaint. I hate villain of the week style shows. I want long feuds between the hero and villain. That is the draw on great shows like Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Ballers, West World, ect.

@DoctorCranium - I totally agree, I really enjoyed the first half of season 1. I thought Falcone & Maroni were done quite well, Gordon & Bullock were both pretty good, & Nygma & Penguin were weirdly likable. Since then, they've tried their hardest to be edgy & be like Burton, but they come off way more like Schumacher.

This show not only shows the villains at least a decade before they should exist, they also get the characterization completely wrong on most of them. There are still a few redeemable qualities on the show, but I find it harder & harder to sit through all the terrible writing & over the top acting from some of the characters. Sigh, what could have been...

So I guess the court has a bunch of these masked killers? And is there any connection to the Green hornet or just similar masks?

@jaysin420 - In the comic, they had several Talons, but the outfit was different - more ninja-like - and the mask was a full one covering their whole face.

This is by far the best on screen exploration of Batman's Rogue Gallery. The show has made a few mistakes but they've nailed a bunch of the villains for sure. Jerome, Penguin, Riddler, Freeze, Ivy (kinda sorta now), Zsasz, Falcone, Strange, "Harley to be"... all done well. Jerome especially has been amazing. Don't like the Penguin Riddler stuff, it's just weird. This show really is about the rogues. Shoulda just called it Gotham: Rogue Gallery
