After making an appearance on Supergirl in season one, Black Mercy is coming to Krypton and while, we don't know its victim just, it's probably safe to assume that as long as it's under the control of General Zod (Colin Salmon), it can't mean anything good for Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), Nyssa-Vex (Wallis Day) or any of the resistance.

Meanwhile, it looks like Dev-Em (Aaron Pierre) and Jayna-Zod (Ann Ogbomo) will be helping Seg and Nyssa in the next episode as they set their sights on General Zod's fleet after making a shocking discovery.

I'm pretty sure they let the FedEx guy write last night's episode. It's almost as if they said, "ya know, we've been doing a really good job, churning out some really tight and interesting episodes... let's go on vacation and have the interns vomit out a script".

The weird thing was that it was even kind of meta about how awful it was. At one point, Nyssa refuses to perform micro-surgery on Seg's brainstem, so Seg gives her this speech about how he believes in her and how she can do anything if she only puts her mind to it. She turns to him and says something like, "Yeah, great speech, but I'm still not an effing surgeon, you jackass". And it was great. It was hilarious. It was almost as if they watched every CW superhero show, where after a short pep talk people can literally do anything. In fact, I think there even is an episode of Flash where Iris performs surgery.

But then the resolution to that plot point is that Seg just gives her a second speech, and she performs the surgery! My jaw literally dropped open. You can't perform complex micro-surgical procedures just because you believe in yourself. You JUST SAID IT. And you do it anyway?

The entire episode was one steaming pile of trash. Here's to hoping everyone came back from their vacation and we can get this train back on the tracks.

Dunno what everyone else is talking about. This episode was great. It was probably the most lore intensive episode we got. Didnt expect to get a history of Doomsday episode and actually felt for him too. Nyssa got [frick]ed though. Jesus.
