Two New LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Season 3 Promos Tease Mari McCabe's Return And More

A new promo for DC's Legends of Tomorrow season 3 asks the Legends team to "Remake History"...but isn't that the very reason why there's now dinosaurs running around downtown Los Angeles?

A new promo for Legends of Tomorrow season 3 contains some quick snippets of new footage, while the producer's preview reveals that a surprise character will be making a brief appearance on the show.  With one of the villains on the show crossing over from the animated Vixen series that aired on The CW Seed, executive producer Marc Guggenheim teased that there will be a quick appearance by the Mari McCabe version of Vixen, who was played by Megalyn Echikunwoke in Arrow season 4.

Of course, it's Mari's grandmother and former Justice Society of America member, Amaya Jiwe, who wields the Tantu toem aboard the Waverider.  Guggenheim went on to add that they're "hoping for a more protracted meeting of the Vixens, later in the season.  Stay tuned."

Legends of Tomorrow season 3  kicks off Tuesday, October 10 at 9/8c, after The Flash.

I find this show so entertaining. It doesn't pretend to take itself seriously and there's so much awesome comicbooky moments. It's actually one of my favorites.

I prefer this show to Flash and Arrow.

@MonsieurClunge - I personally would take season 2 of Legends over season 3 of Flash. Just my opinion though.

@MrCamw1 - same, not sure what happened to flash...even season 2 of supergirl was better than whiny season 3 of the flash IMO smh.

I can't believe how overlooked this show is. With a limited budget and after a rocky first season, they gave us many DC obscure characters and insane yet highly entertaining situations that the movie side of things will take YEARS to showcase (if they ever did). For some reason people feel more attracted to clicking on the 57th article that calls Inhumans a trainwreck instead of celebrate the many comic book series that are enjoyable.

Legends Season 2 was the best superhero team show this year.

I'm sorry but is there any two black people (male and female) that hook up on these shows or is every black Woman attracted to white guys and vice versa what in the hell

I'm a fan of the show because it embraces its comic book cheese. It is fun because it's not trying to be anything other than a superhero show.

5 things I would change:

1. Replace or recast Jax. Franz Drameh struggles mightily against his native British accent, and it comes off as bad acting. Or maybe that IS the definition of bad acting. Either way, Victor Garber is great (in everything he does), and watching the two them together is painful, imo. Since Robbie Amell (not exactly a master thespian) as Ronnie Raymond wasn't an option, I don't know why the CW didn't just use Jason Rausch as introduced in Flash rather creating this Jax Jefferson character.

2. Hawkman and Hawkgirl were squandered opportunities in S1. Bring one of them back from a different lifetime using a different actor (and better writing, costuming and FX).

3. Evolve Atom's personality and drop that suit of armor. I believe he's getting an upgrade in S3, and with it, I hope Bandon Routh drops the mensch routine. Besides, Steel has the "bumbling yet brave genius" act down pretty good.

4. Return the Waverider to Legoland and upgrade to something sleeker. The exterior of the ship looks like it was manufactured by Yugo.

5. Hire Megan O and bring Mari/Vixen 2.0 onto the show full time. Amyra/Vixen has been ok, but Vixen 2.0 makes more narrative sense. Well, even if it doesn't, I just want Megan back on TV. I look forward to both Vixens meeting this season, and I would love if they dropped grandma off back in the 40's with the JSA and keep the newer Vixen on the team.

Making my way through The Defenders, all I wanted to do was stop and go back to watching Legends S2. Much more fun and a whole heap more interesting
