The first onscreen meeting of The Flash and Supergirl in the cross-network episode "World's Finest" was met with a lot of praise, along with a bump in the ratings for Supergirl. While the crossover was originally intended as a one-off, the recent announcement of Supergirl's move to the CW has opened the door for a lot more interaction between the two characters. Given their lighthearted, quirky personalities, there has been a lot of discussion among fans about a possible romantic relationship between the two heroes. Even Grant Gustin, who plays The Flash, previously stated he thoiught the two would make "a great couple". According to Supergirl star Melissa Benoist, however, she sees the two as really good friends.  “I don’t know that they’d ever get together. I think they’re too similar. I think they’d like pig out on… I think they’re pals like, pigging out on ice cream.”

While there's no definitive answer about what's to come, it certainly would be interesting to see Barry deal with having a super-powered girlfriend in the midst of the "will-they-or-won't-they" dynamic with Iris. However, Barry's plate will probably be a little full while dealing with the consequences of saving his mother from her death at the hands of the Reverse Flash.

Would you want to see Barry and Kara as a couple? Sound off below!

The Supergirl and Flash crossover was great. It will be cool to see them team up again. I hope the Superman from Kara's world joins the CWverse Earth 1 and we get a TV Superman again. With Barry merging the two earths together with his Speedforce

Yeah, probably for the best. Though I do feel just from one episode that they had better chemistry than Barry/Iris or Kara/James.

And I wonder if she realized that the Flash can vibrate any part of his body.

Well obviously the first thought should be put into what romances are gonna happen.

Plot comes later.
