Sean Bean was on the red carpet last night for the "Mirror Mirror" premiere, where he saw the brand new promotional poster for "Game of Thrones" Season 2 which featured his head on a pike.

According to Access Hollywood Bean got a real kick out of seeing the decapitated Ned Stark.

"Have you seen that?" he said to one of his managerial reps, who accompanied him on the red carpet.

"I like that! I like that," Sean said when his laughter subsided.

He went on to confirm he hadn't seen the poster previously, and that HBO wouldn't be using Ned Stark in Season Two. "They're not! I'm dead."

However, like fans of the show, Bean said he's excited to see the second season and will definitely be tuning in to the premiere.

"It'll be quite exciting," he added. "Yeah! I've got a lot of friends in it -- people I know and stuff like that. "It'll be interesting because I've not read the book for the next one, so I don't know what it's about."

At the conclusion of the interview, Bean asked Access if he could keep the poster, to which they obliged.

As for Mirror, Mirror, don't expect Bean to have a lot of screen time. Said Bean, "[Filming] was great. I was only involved with it for a few days, but it's a nice cameo role and it was lots of fun. I enjoyed working with Lily and Armie Hammer and stuff like that. And the director [Tarsem Singh], was very funny. [A] very funny guy, which made it fun to do."

Mirror, Mirror hits theaters on March 30, while Game of Thrones Season 2 premieres April 1st on HBO.

Sean Bean IS THE MAN

Love Game of Thrones and my one complaint is indeed how realistic it is. A lot of characters people like seem to die in this series.

Nice to see Bean finally get a hero type role in a series, he's been a villain in many movies.

Also a shame this adds to the whole "sean bean dies in everything hes in" joke. Shockingly true lol

But Sean Bean doesn't die in Silent Hill, Troy, Ronin, and Flightplan. And I'm also guessing those Sharpe movies, though I haven't seen them.
