Next week on Watchmen, Angela Abar (Regina King) finds herself at Lady Trieu's (Hong Chau) estate, seeking a treatment that could ultimately save her life. However, during her stay she continues to look for answers from her grandfather and seemingly uncovers Lady Trieu's mysterious plan to save humanity, which curiously starts in Oklahoma.

Meanwhile, it also looks like we'll be getting more flashbacks as we continue to delve into the past for answers about what's been happening in the present.

Talk about a show that found it's footing. These last two episodes have been high quality television. I hope they do more origin eps for the minutemen next season.

This was probably the best damn hour of TV I've seen in a good while, and I don't make that statement lightly. I'll be surprised if this show doesn't win multiple Emmy awards.

Best episode yet! Everything is coming together nicely...between this, The Mandalorian and a solid episode of Titans it was a great weekend!

Best comic book show ever made, and it's not even close

You leaving me here to fend on my own?!

Nice to see you back here, bud. And yes this show is awesome!! 🔥🔥

@L0RDbuckethead - I've been using this site a lot less recently, but this episode was so good I had to post about it

@tmp3 - ... Nah. Definitely not.

It could have been, but it hasn't been too accessible for a lot of people. Including fans who've read the GN over a dozen times.

I just think its too slow and relying on mystery/its last 2 episodes.

tmp3 - 11/25/2019, 9:36 AM
@Kurne - I really don't think it's that inaccessible to people who've never read the comic, especially since a lot of viewers have never seen it but they still love it. Also it's not really slow at all, it's better paced than any other superhero show I've ever seen

@tmp3 - @tmp3 - there's a lot of people on both ends (new and comic readers) who couldn't stand the pacing in the first 2 episodes and dropped it. I remember some people who got the early screeners for the first 6 episodes said that if you didn't love the show by episode 3, then its not for you... which was concerning after I saw the third episode.

It's drip-feeding way too much. That can be fine sometimes, but this show is not doing much else to pull you in outside of that. It's become more frustrating than captivating.

A white mask for a black man ... This is a great origin for hooded justice and he is for me the best minutemen.

@Repian - [frick]ing artwork. Just pure art right there. The guy they chose to portray young Will Reeves aka Hooded Justice was a great actor in "Leftover".

But here in this single episode he's just a master, and I think the actor is relatively young. Bright future ahead of him.

@Repian - Look at the parallel between young Reeves putting a white mask one vs. Angela spray-painting a black mask on her outfit

These episodes have been nothing short of amazing.

Really looking forward to how Lindelof ends this thing.

Lindeloff really has used the unexplored past of the Minutemen to his advantage and the undisclosed identity of Hooded Justice as well. It's really cool how we're seeing the future but also exploring the past of the Watchmen world than we ever have.

Got a sneaky feeling Regina King is going to be linked to Doctor Manhattans time in Vietnam. Maybe the baby in the womb of the woman the comedian shot lives? Theres an episode coming up called "A God walks into a bar"
L0RDbuckethead
L0RDbuckethead - 11/25/2019, 7:34 AM
@MadMallo - some are speculating that the lady the Comedian killed in the Vietnam bar was Lady Trieu's mother.

It seems to fit.

Watchmen might just be my favorite CBM show. Did not expect it to be this good of a follow-up series.

Wow.

@regularmovieguy - If the next 3 episodes are as good, it might be my favorite comic book adaptation ever. It's already my favorite of 2019

@tmp3

Hard to argue. I watched last nights ep with a buddy who hadn’t seen the movie, nor any other episodes.

He’s sold. Might turn on the movie tonight just to give him a foundation for it.

@regularmovieguy - Did anyone expect this? I sure didn't. This episode was unbelievable.

I literally did a lowkey jaw drop at a few moments. Few shows have made me do that; Better Call Saul being the most recent.

@BlackBeltJones

This show has managed to blow my expectations out of the water.

Every episode I’m left surprised and wanting more. From the characters to the filmmaking...it’s top tier tv.

Also, BCS returning in February. Can’t [frick]ing wait.
