Jeph Loeb sat down with ET for a lengthy interview during last week's San Diego Comic-Con 2015, and whilst there aren’t any major revelations, Loeb made some interesting comments about Marvel’s upcoming Netflix slate, and even teased a potential Ms. Marvel show.

Talking about Jessica Jones, the upcoming Netflix series starring Krysten Ritter as the titular character, Loeb explained "I think people knew, as soon as we announced Jessica Jones, Jessica Jones was based on a much more adult comic. The source material came that way. She has real problems with a number of things that she abuses! And we’re not shying away from that. There’s no tidying her up. And Krysten Ritter is killing it. And when people get a hold of what David Tennant is doing as Killgrave..." He then went on to talk about the characters of Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, and how "there are going to be times when you’re uncomfortable because you’re not quite rooting for Matt, you’re kind of rooting for Wilson", comparing these shades of grey to Jessica Jones - "There’s going to be moments where some of the things that she does is pretty questionable. And some of the things that, when you learn about Killgrave’s characters and the way that David Tennant plays that character, it’s really extraordinary."

Talk then moved to the potential for the Netflix shows to crossover prior to the upcoming Defenders mini-series, with Loeb saying that "without giving anything away, they’re in the same area. In some cases they are in the same neighborhood. One of the things that is important to us is, when you enter the police station, it’s the same police station. When you go to the hospital, you start to see the same people. [But] we don’t want people suddenly going, "Wait, is that Matt Murdoch that’s walking down the street?" Because that’s going to feel odd, and in a weird way feel false." Loeb also added that Daredevil's second season wouldn't impact plans for The Defenders, arguing they still "need people to get to know Matt, and Foggy, and Karen, and we need people to get to know Jessica [Jones] and Trish [Walker, aka Hellcat] and Luke [Cage]." Could we be seeing Hellcat suit up in Jessica Jones after all?

Loeb also tackled those rumours about a potential Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel TV show, saying "Uhhhhhh... It is... Uh...not something that I can talk about. [Laughs] Ah! I thought, "You know..." And then I thought, "No, this just gets me into trouble."

Finally, Loeb went on to discuss the casting of Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist, saying that it's "close", then adding "you know, we have not started Luke [Cage], so the only reason you know who Luke (Mike Colter) is is because he appears in Jessica. [...] I’m not really worried about where we are going to be with Fist. There are some ideas that we have. And when we get there, I’m sure we’ll be talking about it", before confriming that we would hear about his casting "long before" SDCC 2016.

There's far more in the article below, inclduing details on both Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter, so be sure to head over to ET for the full interview. Jessica Jones is set for release later this year, whilst Daredevil Season Two is expected to release in Spring 2016, with Luke Cage following later on in 2016, all exclusively on Netflix.

Long ass article.

PS: Just watched Ant-Man. I don't think its as good as everybody says it is, but still pretty damn good. Imo it isn't better as AOU as a lot of people are saying.

Just being honest. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Ant-man a lot and gets me excited about Scott Lang and co being in the MCU. But I think I enjoyed AOU way more than most on this website.

@omarvls I'm cautiously excited for this show because it allows marvel the chance to deal with some major issues that the genre really hasn't dealt with in depth yet. Plus I'm a fan of the casting decisions they've made. David Tennant was a huge score and Ritter is a great actress.

@charlie2094 not only are they not shying away from it, it looks like they are directly embracing the alias story. He described the plot of alias when explaining the direction of the show on the source article.

The problem with Age of Ultron, is that people dont find the way to read it, but the movie have a message, have an emotion and even better is a really good superhero movie, the problem is that it has so many crap happing in the same time, the development of Ultron never happen until he is "kill off" and even worts is so many mother fricking noise.

While i believe Ant Man will be a good movie, because Wright is one of the best writers and directors in the genre of comedy, i also believe the movie loss his message and his own emotion, i believe the daughter will be used like the plot point that they erased from the original script (Scott becoming mad and all that)

But that will not fix, anything because that will not make us feel, all the emotion and message that original have in Wright's mind, Teacher and Student relationship, father and daugther.

I believe that if marvel want the movie to dont go so strange, they should rewrite the entire script and not make what they do, because i know the teacher/student relationship between Hank Pym and Darren Cross is not well writen.

All the reviews ive read on Ant-man have that said the movie is ten times better then Age of Ultron, and I pray to god it is. The movie is at a 77% right now and has come all the way up from a 68%. Anyways, im happy the studio is giving us Jessica Jones as she should be, but like the user said above i didnt really expect them to shy away from it after seeing Daredevil lol. Im so excited to see Hellcat onscreen, remember when she was relevant guys. Also happy that the studio is smart enough to not stuff an uneeded crossover down our throats, its too early. As for that Ms.Marvel show, ill probably pass on it considering its going to be on ABC, and i just cant seem to like anything on there. And we dont care how far Iron Fist is GIVE US THAT CASTING DAMMNIT!

That was largely a softball interview, but still great for fans.

Why not ask about metrics for success?
Why not ask about budget limitations, what determines those, and if he's fighting for a higher budget?
Why not ask him what he thinks were SHIELDS greatest flaws - and how they tried to fix those?
Why not ask what they will continue to improve going forward?

These are relevant questions that actually gets at the issue with non-Daredevil Marvel shows -- they are fun but flawed in glaring ways.

Iron Fist and Daredevil have similar masks---well with his proto suit and all. I wonder if they will make any changes to Iron Fist's costume

@Alesir19

AOU would have benefitted hugely if it was longer by about 10 minutes. Regardless, its currently my favourite CBM. I don't understand the fuss around Edgar, he's nothing special imo.

Ant-Man was a really good movie. It was very personal, had some good character moments, was small scale which is a change and had unique sequences which was a joy to watch. Things Ant-Man had that AOU didn't have was better pacing and a plot that was easy to follow even after only one showing.

Darren Cross is a deranged character and had some moments, but he was no Joker.

Yes the movie was good, not the best, i believe i cant see more comic books for a while, maybe i dont see Civil War or Batman V Superman, i am tyred of this kind of movies...

The action is really cool, the movie is full of jokes that dont land, i believe because Wright is a writer with a comedy really physical and if you dont get that then the script wont work, that is why i believe Michael Peña have the best lines (Adam Mckay and Paul Rudd rewrite every one of them).

I believe the direction really feels the loss of Wright, one moment of the movie is a perfect example...

*Darren Cross see Hopes gets out of the Security Room like "WTF?" She se him and he see her, then he says like 4 minutes after: "The Suits Looks good?"*

This is the writting of Edgar Wright i can know that kind of writing, the director dont get how to represent a physical joke that he dont wrote, the same happens in the worst scene in the movie were again Cross and Hope are talking in this restaurant and everything becomes strange and out of place, that again is Wright writting, but the physical joke is not well done.

Scoll by the way is good, he is the god of the actors that have make 2D Marvel villains (Wiplash, Red Skull, Malekith, Ronan, Ultron (in some way) ) he have back story (something that Malekith dont have or even work), he portrays really well the character, using more that this cheesy lines, some hardcore physical acting, using his face, moves and voice, to do everything that Marvel dont let him be by the lines.
