Earlier this week, Marvel Studios released the first trailer for Moon Knight (you can check out our breakdown here). Now, a new piece of promo art has been revealed featuring our best look yet at the costume Oscar Isaac's Marc Spector will don when he heads into action as the monster-hunting hero.

Rather than the Batman-inspired hi-tech gear the character has worn in the comic books, it appears this suit will be mystical in nature, emphasising Moon Knight's ties to Ancient Egypt.

That's an interesting direction to take the character, and not what most of us expected. While it's possible Spector will eventually upgrade his appearance, we like this design as it feels like a better fit for a version of Moon Knight that's clearly borrowing a lot from his earlier adventures. However, it would be fun to see something akin to his "Mr. Knight" persona at some point in the MCU.

The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.

Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy. Mohamed Diab and the team of Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead directed the episodes (there's no mention of George Clooney). Jeremy Slater is the head writer, and Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Mohamed Diab, Jeremy Slater and Oscar Isaac are the executive producers.

Moon Knight premieres on Disney+ on March 30.

@SanFranLand - Of all the things that the MCU has done especially as of late, you think white eyes are the thing that needs explanation? Not trying to be antagonistic, but at this point logic and rationality has gone out the window. They're even allowing plot holes into their movies (Spider-Man: NWH the biggest culprit).

Honestly, I just hope this is good. I've been disappointed by all the tv series. I would've loved Loki if not for that finale, which was anti-climatic.

@Metallicat213 - Same! I really like the "mummy-esque" vibe to the suit overall. I am not a big moon knight fan, so I don't care what liberties they take with the character. Seems to me that this type of suit makes more sense with the Egypt ties anyway.

@PC04 - You know it ain't going to happen. It's not going to be violent, Disney values shareholders and money more than creative integrity, they're a business and have a public image to maintain.

@EgoEgor - Are you here just to rain on everyone's parade. All you seem to be doing here is trying to dull everyone's excitement.

@Dannywest - I agree. The concept of the suit is really good but hopefully it looks better once we see it in motion more.

The cape looks amazing though.
