Earlier this week, Marvel Studios released the first trailer for Moon Knight (you can check out our breakdown here). Now, a new piece of promo art has been revealed featuring our best look yet at the costume Oscar Isaac's Marc Spector will don when he heads into action as the monster-hunting hero.
Rather than the Batman-inspired hi-tech gear the character has worn in the comic books, it appears this suit will be mystical in nature, emphasising Moon Knight's ties to Ancient Egypt.
That's an interesting direction to take the character, and not what most of us expected. While it's possible Spector will eventually upgrade his appearance, we like this design as it feels like a better fit for a version of Moon Knight that's clearly borrowing a lot from his earlier adventures. However, it would be fun to see something akin to his "Mr. Knight" persona at some point in the MCU.
The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy. Mohamed Diab and the team of Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead directed the episodes (there's no mention of George Clooney). Jeremy Slater is the head writer, and Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Mohamed Diab, Jeremy Slater and Oscar Isaac are the executive producers.
Moon Knight premieres on Disney+ on March 30.
