To celebrate the MCU's first Pakistani superhero's live-action debut, Ms. Marvel director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy has taken to Instagram to announce that Disney will be releasing the entire series exclusively in theaters in Pakistan, since the country still doesn’t have access to the Disney+ streaming service.
According to the filmmaker, Episodes 1 and 2 will debut on June 16, with the remaining instalments released every two weeks.
Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) will make her debut in Ms. Marvel before going on to join fellow cosmically-powered heroes Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) on the big screen in The Marvels next year.
Check out Obaid-Chinoy's post below for more.
"Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City," reads the updated synopsis. "An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?"
Ms. Marvel also stars Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha.
