MS. MARVEL Stills Reveal A Cosplayer Wearing Captain Marvel's Classic Ms. Marvel Comic Book Costume

Before being rebranded as Captain Marvel, the comic book version of Carol Danvers flew into action as Ms. Marvel. While the change was deemed controversial by many fans, it was a step in the right direction to ditch the skimpy costume and establish the hero as an absolute powerhouse.

We never anticipated seeing the "classic" Ms. Marvel costume in the MCU, but some newly released stills from the upcoming Ms. Marvel TV series reveal a cosplayer wearing that suit.

There's some speculation that this might be Laurel Marsden as Zoe Zimmer, a bully in Kamala Khan's high school. Seeing as Kamala has created an accurate Captain Marvel costume, it would make sense for her classmate to try and overshadow her with a somewhat risqué take on the Avenger.

Other stills from Ms. Marvel showcase the hero's reimagined powers and supporting cast. In recent days, we've heard a lot from the show's creatives about the change made to Kamala's embiggening ability. They've defended the decision and said it comes down to making sure Kamala better fits into the wider MCU (giving her Kree Nega-Bands better sets the stage for her role in The Marvels).

Ms. Marvel premieres on Disney+ on June 8.
