The first two episodes of Ms. Marvel are now streaming on Disney+, and the streamer's latest MCU-set series has been a major hit with critics, currently sitting at a near-perfect 95% on Rotten Tomatoes.

This is actually the review aggregator's highest score for any Marvel Studios show - Disney+ or otherwise - yet, but Kamala Khan's live-action debut doesn't seem to have been quite as big a hit with subscribers.

According to Samba TV's data, only 775k US households watched the premiere of Ms. Marvel over the course of its first five days on Disney+. They do point out that the episode was a hit with "Gen Z," with viewers aged 20-24 watching "at the highest rate of any MCU show, and it drew a more diverse audience with Black, Hispanic and Asian households watching at a higher rate."

For comparison's sake, here's the five-day premiere viewership for the steamer's other Marvel shows:

WandaVision: 1.6 Million

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: 1.8 Million

Loki: 2.5 Million

Hawkeye: 1.5 Million

Moon Knight: 1.8 Million

This is a shame, as Ms. Marvel really is a highly entertaining watch with a terrific lead performance from Iman Vellani. These numbers might well improve as the series progresses, of course.

"Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City," reads the show's updated synopsis. "An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?"

Ms. Marvel also stars Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha.
