Netflix's Stranger Things has become one of the biggest shows (streaming or otherwise) of the past few years, and after four seasons of fantastical, sometimes pretty damn scary, adventures in the Upside-down, the series will soon conclude with its fifth and final season.
Though the show boasts a strong ensemble cast, psychic teen Eleven was always positioned as the principal protagonist, with star Millie Bonny Brown at the forefront of each season's main storylines.
During a recent interview (conducted before the strikes), Brown was asked for her thoughts on the show finishing up, and while she feels it's going to be a "bittersweet" send-off, she believes she's "ready" for Stranger Things to end so that she can move on to other projects and the next phase of her life.
"I think I'm ready," Brown tells Women's Wear Daily (via FearHQ.com). "It's been such a huge factor in part of my life but it's like graduating high school, it's like senior year. You're ready to go and blossom and flourish and you're grateful for the time you've had, but it's time to create your own message and live your own life."
In the season 4 finale, Eleven and her friends managed to defeat the evil entity known as Vecna, but at great cost. Eddie is killed, and Max is left blind, broken and in a coma.
Vecna - who was ultimately revealed to be the deranged Henry Creel - was vanquished, but It was only a temporary victory, as the concluding moments of the episode confirmed that dark forces in the Upside-down are amassing for what will almost certainly be a massive final battle.
Are you up to date with Stranger Things? If so, what do you hope to see from this final season? No premiere date has been set, but we should learn more shortly after the strikes come to an end.
