We've spent months reading through various rumours about when Ahsoka will start shooting, but Lucasfilm has finally confirmed that cameras are rolling on the show with a behind the scenes photo.
It doesn't reveal too much, but we see the series' logo, and if you really squint and look at those monitors, it appears scenes are being shot at a Jedi Temple. We don't believe it's a well-known location from Star Wars lore, but it probably won't take long before a fan figures out whether that's the case.
Very little is known about Lucasfilm's Ahsoka plans, though it is expected to serve as a sequel to the events of Star Wars Rebels (hence why Dave Filoni has written the show). That means we should learn more about what became of Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn after that huge cliffhanger, and the fact that Filoni's cowboy hat is front and centre here suggests he will direct at least one episode.
David Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and Bryce Dallas Howard (The Mandalorian) are also expected to step behind the camera, but, as is so often the case, we don't currently have a confirmed list of directors. Based on past experience, they might not be revealed until the show starts streaming.
Ahsoka doesn't currently have a premiere date, but expect it to hit Disney+ sometime in 2023.
