Well known Spider-Man villain, Venom, has his own film on the horizon. 

Recently, we saw a clip featuring Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock unleashing the beast in order to take out some cops, showing how violent and dangerous he (or they) really are. Now, we have a new clip which showcases what Venom does when he gets aggravated. 


Seems like there will definitely be some comedic elements to this film. Whether fans like it or not, it will be very interesting to see how this movie will balance the laughs and horror. 

Venom slithers into theaters on October 5th.

@KevunWil - I actually laughed at the end of that clip, when he venom said "now lets bite all their heads off and pile them up in the corner"

I hope that type of humor is what we get, that its funny because eddie clearly doesnt want that but venom does and both dont understand why the other refuses their request. These last two clips got me exicited, im just wary that these clips are showing most of the symbiote action - those reports of barely any symbiote action really have me scratching my head at wtf this movie will be.

Maybe SONY learned how to toss in “humor” at good and inappropriate times with their partnership on SM: HC. 😂

Yesterday's clip surprised me. The Wilhelm was stupid but the action was servicable and the symbiote splashing off Venom's body from the flash bangs, seen across a smoke screen while he takes soldiers out looked pretty elite. More than I was expecting anyway. Not watching this one cuz I plan on seeing this, but low expectations yield high results, we'll see. Mine couldn't be much lower.

Didn’t like the dialogue but it was a decent clip. Liked yesterday’s clip alot tho.

@BlindWedjat - Upgrade was a very well done genre film. Like a throwback to old 80s schlock mixed with sci fi


Also.....IT WAS RATED R. Something that would've benefited Venom. I think it will be a cult classic in time.

@ODanil - some people on here were saying they got to hit some of the previews, and that it's... the middling sony product you'd expect. Not like the worst thing ever but also you don't really care when you're done.

That's just based on what I've heard through here tho, I haven't seen it yet

Everything about this movie seems neutered and by the numbers.





This scene for example feels like a less interesting version of 'Upgrade'. The main character feels like they are in no danger while the serious moments, such as when Venom is praising Eddie afterwards with the music taking a darker note, is taken as comedy.





Meanwhile the fight with the Swat soldiers is a mix of the gas scene from The Incredible Hulk and the 'Puny God' scene from Avengers

That was mostly like a terrible version of the scene from Upgrade and was kind of cringy. However, I'd be lying if the "bite their heads off and pile them into a corner" didn't make me chuckle.
