The overt (and really unrealistic) gore in these games has turned me off from the new incarnation(s).

@L0RDbuckethead - Agreed. The over-the-top gore takes an "adult" game well into childish territory. Pass.

I don't really like this series's gameplay. Used to play all of them up until 4 (1 and 2 on Arcade), then MK vs DC, a few nights on 9, but despite my love for this franchise, the gameplay isn't for me. It's way, way too stiff for my taste. Toons move like robots, movements are jerky, don't feel natural (Virtua Fighter and Tekken used to be like that).

In my opinion, the feel and flow of SoulCalibur, Street Fighter or Dead or Alive is way, way more enjoyable. To each their own! I hope all the fans have a blast with this one.

@Asturgis - I, too, found the flow of Dead or Alive way more enjoyable.

@Asturgis - Agreed! Soul Calibur & Dead or Alive - those games had zest! They had flair! They had bounce!

Hasn’t been the same since MKII. UMK3 was ok, but MK2 still had mystique about it.

@AgeofApocalypse - Wasn't about the mystique; it's that MK2 was the last one that was any good.

I loved MK9, but didn't like MKX. I hope I can like this one.
