Video game movies have a bad reputation and it's not hard to see why. Last year, gamers pinned their hopes on Warcraft and Assassin's Creed finally breaking the curse but both were a disappointment and now all eyes are on Tomb Raider to deliver. On the surface, it certainly looks like it could as the reboot boasts an impressive cast, some very cool visuals, and...well, a rather generic looking story it seems!

Starring Alicia Vikander as the titular hero and Walton Goggins as the movie's villain, Tomb Raider could be a fun ride and the launch of a new franchise; after all, the Angelina Jolie version got a sequel!

Also below is a new featurette which sheds some light on Vikander's transformation into Lara Croft. It also provides some additional details about what we should expect here and it's clear that the Oscar-winner is excited about stepping into the boots of this beloved video game icon. What do you guys think of this new look at Tomb Raider? As always, share your thoughts in the comments section.
