It seems that this story originated in the LA Times, but I picked up the info from this vid over at IGN, in which they reveal that certain upcoming TV show's futures may be looking grim, including Locke & Key and Wonder Woman..

The LA Times is reporting that NBC's Wonder Woman is unlikely to get picked up, which lets face it, is probably for the better.

Or for the best even. Would anyone be surprised if this show wasn't picked up? I mean, some of the newer set pics looked ok. I certainly thought the changes they made to Adrian Palicki's costume were a solid improvement and she did look the part more or less. But from what we heard of the story , it was pretty much face palm time. Anyway, I'm still trying to find out some more about this. Will the pilot air at least? More info as we have it.

Well that was quick...NBC just cant get that superhero genre right...Heroes was a flash in the pan for one season, The Cape is not even worth mentioning. But damn even with one of DC's main characters they couldnt nail it.

Oh well. Apparently Wonder Woman is a tough one to crack. There's been talk for years of bringing her to the big screen, then that got scrapped for a tv series. Apparently no one takes Wonder Woman seriously, because they allowed that jackass creator of Ally McBeal to helm the series and now it may not get picked up.

Pah I'm not surprised if it doesn't get picked up. Wouldn't mind still watching the pilot for shits and giggles though.

@TheGodDamnSuperGuy - No doubt. I was shocked how good the Wonder Woman animated movie was. Easily one of the best DC animated movies by far.

Deadline seems to have a different story. They report NBC is liking Wonder Woman.

http://www.deadline.com/2011/05/primetime-pilot-panic-screenings-updates/

"The biggest news out of NBC is that David E. Kelley's WONDER WOMAN pilot has been delivered and it's getting positive reaction."

Seems like it was going to be a major fail show anyway, just like The Cape.

DC needs to get their act together and stop [frick]ing around with these bullshit "B" TV series and finally come up with a coherent strategy for all their major properties. And they need to do them mostly on the big screen.

It doesn't hurt to learn something from a rival and Marvel has been and is doing it right. Your turn to step up DC.

What did I tell you? That this show would join the ranks of the Geico caveman show faster than you could say "craptastic". Glad to see I was right. Bring on the feature film!

Thank the good Lord this won't be happening! I along with JaySchluffy wouldn't mind watching it just for a good laugh and see what a big bullet we dodged!

They should just make a movie anyway. This show was just wrong on all levels from the start.

Hi guys, new poster...i've been coming to the site for a long time and reading all the great updates and comments, love the site, keep up the great work! I actually just read the article Taz referred to at Deadline that says it's getting good buzz. Personally, i would take Deadline over LA Times as they usually have good intel from what i've read there. I hope it gets picked up because it would be interesting to see how it all plays out.

The Wonder Woman animated movie was superb, if there's to be any more WW, it should be another animated flick, or the live show should borrow from it.
lookin cute JULEZ13!

@JULEZ13 - Everyone knows that Superman is the best! That why so many people want to get him right in everything.

I love Wonder Woman, but I never really got excited for this show. Why can't they just do a big budget, serious movie for this character? I really wish DC/Warner Bros. would quit being so stubborn and take a cue from Marvel Studios already.

@JULEZ13- You are a woman after my own heart. :)

this isnt a surprise. who wants something that looks this bad? and plus, its built-in audience was razzing it from day one!! the premise, actress, and suit were IMMEDIATE FAIL.

Guys, guys... Go take a cold shower lol. ;D

Now everyone knows why Jaime Alexander turned down the role. She has enough experience to know when something is going to flop horrendously.
