THE WOLVERINE Director Tweets Character Portrait Of Svetlana Khodchenkova (Viper)

Several days ago James Mangold tweeted three behind-the-scenes black and white snapshots of Hugh Jackman, Rila Fukushima and Tao Okamoto. Today, he has posted another, this time it's of Russian actress, Svetlana Khodchenkova ("Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy").

The Wolverine will be directed by James Mangold (Knight and Day), from a script written by Christopher McQuarrie.. The cast includes: Hugh Jackamn (Logan/Wolverine), Svetlana Khodchenkova (Viper), Hiroyuki Sanada (Shingen), Hal Yamanouchi (Yashida), Tao Okamoto (Mariko), Rila Fukushima (Yukio), Brian Tee (Norubo Mori), and Will Yun Lee (Kenuichio Harada/Silver Samurai). The film will claw into theaters July 26, 2013.

Actually Marvel Studios are allowed to use the character of " Viper " as well, so long as they only refer to her as Madame Hydra and make no reference to her other alias and vice versa for FOX.

The same has been said how Marvel are allowed to include Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in future films as long as there is no reference to them being mutants or have any relation to Magneto since Fox owns him.
