FIRST LOOK: Wolverine Movie Toys!

FIRST LOOK: Wolverine Movie Toys!

Some Asian toys are sporting the official movie logo of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, although the actual toys themselves are more akin to the comics than the movie.

This one here, found at Diamond, looks American made and a little less cheap.

I have seen those toys. In many not so wealthy countries they are "bootleg" toys. They are very common in Latin America, Asia and the Middle East. The thing is though, that they are usually based on the original models. This bootlegs don't look as bad as some I have seen.

I think they look pretty good. I wonder if Wolverine will be wearing that uniform in the second pic tho?? That would be awesome!

Wonderin why he comes with a Katana tho?? Maybe they allude to the Japanese storyline in the movie?

I wouldn't mind some Lady Deathstrike action...

They remind me of the late 90's early 2000's action figures before everyting became 'McFarlenized' with dozens of points of articulation. Its cool that they were so poseable, but the many many joints made the figures look awkward and difficult to maintain in any given pose. I think its cool that they are going back to the straightforward figures of my youth. That is, as you guys pointed out, if these are not bootlegs...

I was excited when I saw Deadpool with his mask on because that would mean he would be wearing it in the movie. But then I saw Wolverine and Sabertooths outfits. These are definitely fake.

Ok, can anyone tell me what the hell wolverine needs a sword for? he has six f-in blades already. Also....why the hell is the sabertooth toy so ugly? Im sorry...I know they are bootleg toys but seriously....cummon. Toys haven't looked like that in years.

Nice Maverick Fig!

These figures look cheap and disappointing. They have nohing to do with the movie!! Plus they look 5" tall which goes against the standard marvel legends size. The American made one looks awesome though. I just hope he is 6" and more figures are made related to the move, namely deadpool, gambit and a decent sabertooth. (Really cant wait for a Ryan Reynolds/Deadpool figure *drool*
WeaponX

He doesn't NEED a sword, it's there because it relates to the costume. The brown and tans are the colors of the Clan Yashida and the sword is "the honor sword" of Clan Yashida. He took possession of it for a time after the death of Mariko Yashida. That's why the figure comes with it.

Did anyone notice the yellow label "COMIC SERIES?" I figure that to mean they're going the route of the "Evolution of X" line: the big screen character with its comic counterpart. It is 5 months to the release, so those may be early production figs. CHILL OUT!!!!

yeah...like LegionarioXIX, they are bootlegs. Anyone that has ever been walking through a flea market or swap meet has run across these. They use the backer card for appeal, but in essence the toys are used from other models. They just about ALL look like the "Marvel Legends" line of toys. As far as the weapons go (cause there was alot of talk about the samurai sword and its meaning), Typically, in these "bootleg" toys they will stick in any type of weapon that looks cool with the toy...even if it doesn't actually "belong" with it. I've even seen Batman knock-offs, that equip him with big machine guns...come on...really?

As my first post back, I have to say, those look like total shyte! They ALWAYS screw up wolverines face. Why does Sabretooth have clubs and look NOTHING like Liev?

Why does the Logan figure look like Joey Fatone? Seriously, Maverick looks like he should be wielding a guitar and not a 50 cal.

Deadpool looks decent, of course, he doesn't have a face to screw up either.

All in all, total crapfest.

They are obviously fake or bootleg, we already know for sure that he doesn't wear the VR helmet as Weapon X in the new movie.
