Why tease us with a second trailer that is clearly ready, and not give it to us? Until the trailer with some interesting footage is released.. Singer can take anything he ""says"" about the film and shove it up his [Frick]ing ass. Have hardly seen anything from this movie footage wise

I bought box seats for FOX's latest abuse of the franchise.

You know I just read the "Empire Magazine" special for X-Men: Days of Future Past and there's honestly a LOT of good reads in there. There was even an article where Singer expressed his thoughts about X-Men: The Last Stand and what he planned to do with X3. Really wish the man had the chance to direct/write it. He even said himself that he wouldn't have killed off Cyclops as there would've been more to both his and Professor X's role following ideas for a Phoenix Saga.

But anyway I'm a bit glad and disappointed the second trailer didn't debut during the Super Bowl. It could've won them more audiences for the film but then again they're already working on what has yet to be the next biggest movie at Fox (financially and visually) so adding more expenses for just a Super Bowl spot would've been a bit risky. Plus the Super Bowl was garbage so most people weren't even interested (but that's just my take on it)

Other than that, regardless of if the film meets Avengers numbers or not I would just be extremely happy if it surpassed the 500million dollar curse the X-Men movies have always had the disadvantage of achieving. I'm glad Singer's back and I'm extremely glad to see that Fox is planning out multiple films to come in the future from this franchise.

I'd rather wait for a remarkable trailer than see something rushed just to be placed out to shut people up.

Let's get it! Most anticipated film and it will remain that way take it or leave it!

More like an Agent Coulson solo flick to be honest.

Some of those "theories" don't even serve as being applicable towards the film now that we've received more details. The only events in X-Men: Origins that will count in the franchise after Days of Future Past releases will be the events that happened up until the late 60's which is perfectly cool with me. So basically everything else from the remaining of Origins will be erased/left in a multiverse (where it should stay!)

Great video- its nice to show people what they WON'T be getting from Fox and Singer

The comic was terrible, waste of time just like many of those other "classic" stories.

I'm going to watch the movie, but my expectations are low.

I think FOX has mishandled X-men from the start. Especially when Tom Rothman was sanitizing everything he felt was 'too dark' and then came X-3 and Origins which really just took a massive dump on everything.

They sort of got back on track with 'First Class' (a bit overrated but not too bad) and 'The Wolverine' (kind of perplexing in a "heated annealed metal stronger than hardened metal-Wolverine's healing powers are in his heart/bone marrow-stupid giant heavy robot samurai gets tackled to the ground" sort of way) but some of the things they've done with the rest of the films made me wish I had one of those magical memory-erasing adamantium bullets.

X-2 is indisputably the best in my mind, but everything after that has been muddled and seemed to be rewriting its own history over and over.

Maybe this film will fix this, but I think the entire franchise needs a reboot.

As much as I want to see this movie. Because of Singer I have very mediocre expectations. It might make the movie better for me.

I don't think it was terrible...lol but for me personally when I bought the digital download about two years ago I expected to see the story drastically take off from the jump but instead it was dragged out from other things like Wolverine going back to Canada and etc, I actually think it was within this comic where he appeared in the brown and yellow suit "IF" I'm right. I'm still learning about the older uncanny comics. But yeah, it was a pretty good read for a comic back in that era. It just interest me how they saw the year "2013" at that time...lol

@TheBlackNerd

I don't understand how people think they can make a movie just based on the comic without adding anything in, the comic barely has any plot and would be over in under and hour.
ekrolo2
ekrolo2 - 2/7/2014, 2:14 PM
@Nomis

Don't care, I judge these movies as movies, I really don't care about the "classic " stories which I have found to be VERY overrated while repeatedly underdelivering in both the art and writing departments.

The way I see it, all CBMs are big budget movie versions of a comic book elseworlds completely separate from the comics. If I want the comic, Ill read the comic, I don't need a movie showcasing how well or how poorly it can rip it off.
TheRationalNerd
TheRationalNerd - 2/7/2014, 2:16 PM
@Humperdink

I can honestly understand most of the points you made there. Origins and X3 are comparable to whack hip-hop artists that forgot where their roots came from. I don't even think Vaughn would've wanted to direct it because of how it's not really his style, he claims how much he dislikes being tied down to what someone else has already started. But anyway I wouldn't mind a reboot of the series until either they finish with whatever comes after Apocalypse or if the rights revert back to Marvel. I'm all for seeing different takes on the characters but if anyone deserves the chance to make another Fox related Xfilm I think Singer deserves it without a doubt.

I have to agree with @ekrolo2 on Days of Future Past. The comic is really just forgettable. Maybe it's because it came out 20-30 years ago where time travel was barely if ever used in comics but now, it's stale, boring, and not nearly well developed enough. It was a story literally made to sell the character of Kitty Pryde who... isn't really that interesting and only existed to get younger readers. Whatever Singer does, crap or good will be an improvement.

@eckrolo2

How can you enjoy and appreciate cbm's and not appreciate the original material? For its time that was some of the best art.
ekrolo2
ekrolo2 - 2/7/2014, 2:23 PM
@sKeemAn

Because I don't like how the original material is done? I know for its time that stuff was amazing but for a guy whose relatively a newcomer (I started reading comics when New 52 launched) I find a LOT of these "classic" material seriously lacking, case in point DOFP and Infinity Gauntlet.

I fail to see how me disliking old comics has anything to do with me liking the movies. I judge these as movies, I don't care if a character has his costume or if they go with a story line from the source material, all that matters to me is a good movie, not how well that movie can rip off the comics.

Thinking about it earlier, They're gonna have to change the X-men if they want to keep X-men stories in "current time".

Megneto origins being a Holocaust Survivor (something that happened 70+ years ago) may have to be changed, or otherwise it wouldn't make sense to have a holocaust survivor megneto in the year 2030 (just an example) because most live movies take place in "current" time line.

Just an observation, but magneto would have to be 70 + however old he was when he was bending the gates of the holocaust camps. I'm guessing he was atleast a teen during that time, so that puts him at about 83-85 years old in current time.

TheRationalNerd
TheRationalNerd - 2/7/2014, 2:28 PM
@ekrolo2

Oh yeah, of course I think just about 90% of comic book movies have all added extra in regards to being based solidly on story arcs you know? Now as much as I wouldn't want to disagree with you bro I would have to in regards to your comment about there barely being a plot. Kitty had to convince the x-men of the assassination that could lead to the sentinel ruled future, there was also the weight on preventing the assassination when all the action started off, and the future segments were very interesting to see where the relationships were of all the characters while stopping Master Mold in the process. I agree, the film would be more like a tv episode if anything! lol And who really wants a 1hr superhero movie!? So I strongly agree with that. This film could easily be 2 1/2 hours long which is totally cool with me. Hate seeing fast paced films, really like to get my money's worth.

@ekrolo2

Your disliking of old comics has nothing to do with you liking the movies. I'm speaking from a general comic book fan. This is one of the best comic story arcs of its time. For us to be able to see it in live-action are childhood dreams. However being a new comic book fan I can understand your point of view.
