VENOM 3 Star Tom Hardy Shares First Look At Screenplay And Teases "Last Dance" For Eddie Brock

Sony Pictures recently announced that Venom 3 is officially in the works, and star Tom Hardy has now confirmed it by sharing a sneak peek at the threequel's screenplay. Find more details after the jump!

Sony Pictures confirmed that Venom 3 is in the works at CinemaCon, and Tom Hardy has now shared a first look at the threequel's screenplay. We don't have a title, but just like Venom: Let There Be Carnage, the actor will share a "Story by" credit with screenwriter Kelly Marcel.

It's no great surprise that she's been enlisted for this movie, especially after the success of both the 2021 sequel and 2018's Venom. It's possible they're just starting work on Venom 3, but we have a feeling the first draft may already be completed.

In an Instagram Story, Hardy posted a sticker over the image you see below saying, "Last Ride." What that means is up for debate; it may be a reference to this being the last chapter in the trilogy or an indication that the actor intends to walk away from the role once he's finished working on this next movie.

Whatever the case may be, the fact that the tongue he's drawn on Venom appears to be an "S" has already started generating speculation online. While Tom Holland's Spider-Man is expected to remain exclusively in the MCU, Spider-Man: No Way Home did see a piece of the symbiote left in that world, so perhaps there's still a way for these characters to meet?

Venom: Let There Be Carnage ended with Detective Pat Mulligan gaining powers (we're still not sure what happened there...), so the most likely outcome is that the symbiote will once again battle another foe with an alien costume. On the page, Pat becomes Toxin, and we're sure that's a role Stephen Graham could have fun with.

There's no word on who will direct Venom 3. Ruben Fleischer helmed Venom, while Andy Serkis was enlisted to take charge of the sequel.

I really admire the passion Hardy has for the Venom character. I don't think he showed this much for Bane, correct me if I'm wrong.

But like, this dude REALLY loves doing these movies, and that's awesome. I'll definitely be watching Venom 3 (plz have Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man co-star Sony).

Wasnt he also involved in the script for the second movie?
Anyway, he gets exactly the kind of movie these have to be, so these are good news...hope Serkis is also coming back, he knows how to show these monsters on screen.
And its a good idea to finish things here, although Sony being Sony, they will probably try to keep making Venom movies without Hardy, which will end up like Morbius.

The plot? they should try all in their power to get Garfield in the movie, and have a love triangle between Eddie, Peter, and Venom.

I'm willing to give it the writing a pass though, because Hardy does seem somewhat genuinely passionate about this.
