Deadline reports that Brave looks set to make an impressive $60+ million this weekend, despite something of a mixed (though mostly positive) reaction from critics. This information is based on matinee trends and pre-sales, although it's worth bearing in mind that such early figures sometimes end up proving to be inaccurate by the time Monday rolls around. The biggest surprise however is the news that critically panned 20th Century Fox movie Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is now on track to open up to between $20 million and $25 million. This is a far more positive figure than predicted by tracking, although the film from producer Tim Burton and director Timur Bekmambetov has so far been torn apart by critics, with some declaring it the worst film of the year so far. You can read my 2* review of the film by clicking HERE. Which of these will you be checking out this weekend? Sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!

Spielberg's Lincoln will be great, most likely. Calling it now, Day-Lewis will at least be given an Oscar nomination for it.

Just saw "Brave". It is not the best Picar film, but it is FAR from a bad film. They've kinda put themselves in a tough place by releasing such quality movies that when they release one that's just "really good", it gets "mixed reviews"...

More funny than it looks.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter wasn't bad. It will drive you crazy if your a big Lincoln Historian or if you read the book as a lot has been left out and a few things have been changed making the film non factual. One of the things I liked best about the book is they didn't change history to make things work.... everything in Mr. Lincolns life still happened just the reasons for it were inspired by Vampires.

I enjoyed this movie. It would be very much at home as a SCI-Fi channell movie, but those are kinda fun

I'm not surprised that Abe sucks! Hopefully it fails at the box office. I LOVED the book, and lost ALL hope for this piece of garbage the second I read that it was being directed by Timur Bekmambetov! He screwed up WANTED by changing everything, so I can't say I didn't see this coming. He's the new Uwe Boll of literature to film movies, and he needs to be stopped. Maybe if this movie flops, he will stop getting work!
