Synopsis - Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In “Brave,” a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts.

Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late.

Brave is directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman, and the film features voices from such stars as: Kelly Macdonald, Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson and Robbie Coltrane. The film will be released in theaters June 22nd.

The trailers seem to be getting better and better. Looking forward to this one.

@Marvel72: You should definitely watch WALL-E in its entirety. One of Pixar's finest.

That trailer interested more than the first two. If I can afford to go to see this I will. I'll have already seen Avengers a few times in May, Prometheus at least once, maybe that Abe Lincoln movie if it gets good reviews and word of mouth. Spider-man and Batman will also be getting my money two times a piece no doubt. I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie at some point though. It's a Pixar movie that's not a sequel. Not knocking sequels, but all I'm saying is that this looks fresh.

The trailers are just showing the one liners and short gags (as all trailers do).

Pixar generally does a really good job presenting their characters as relatable. I'm sure they will do the same here and the story will be satisfying.

It's the same story as Little Mermaid. Dad is king, she wants to experience new things, without approval she ventures off into another world with the help of a witch who performs a spell for her to "change her fate."

The pitch was probably "Little Mermaid in the magical highlands of Scotland."

And she has red hair.
