The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Warner Bros. are moving ahead with a big screen adaptation of Rascal Raccoon's Raging Revenge, an Oni Press graphic novel created by Brendan Hay and Justin Wagner. The studio has hired Matt Fogel to write the script, while A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas director Todd Strauss-Schulson is attached to helm the project. The movie will be a blend of live action and CGI and is described as being set in a place called Toonie Terrace, where good-natured Toonies rambunctiously and without fail outwit the Meanies, who are trying to do them in. The story is set in motion when Rascal Raccoon finally and unexpectedly kills his longtime nemesis, Jumpin’ Jackalope. Needing a new target, he sets his sights on the animator who created him. To be fair, this sounds like it could be a fun film (especially for the kids) but comic book fans are sure to be left feeling frustrated over the fact that Warner Bros. don't seem to be taking advantage of their stable of DC Comics characters.

metroILman- Good point. However, it's their own fault for making it suck. They thought they needed Ryan Reynolds to sell the character or else it wasn't worth making. Cooper nailed his audition i'm certain of it, but they wanted the guy that was in most headlines instead. They're too retarded to realise they were the ones at fault and NOT their property. I mean, just look at that Wonder Woman pilot... for [frick]'s sake. And they think it didn't get picked up because their character doesn't sell anymore. Retards. I want Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy movie to piss all over their newly bought "property". Rocket Raccoon for the WIN.

Does anyone think it's weird that Warner Bros. is adapting something that parodies the Looney Tunes characters, which they own?

This story is a parody of the rivalries between Bugs Bunny/Elmer Fudd, Wile E. Coyote/Roadrunner and Sylvester/Tweety and what would happen if the antagonist succeeded.

... why does everything I hear from WB these days make me wanna smash my head continuously against cement?!

But then I realize that does me no good because I'd be too brain damaged to see another Marvel/Disney film and WB execs will STILL make these ridiculous decisions. -__-
