How Many Post-Credits Scenes Does ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA Have?

With press screenings for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania beginning this week, we have some spoiler-free news for you on how many post-credits scenes you can expect to be waiting for on February 17...

By JoshWilding - Feb 07, 2023 11:02 AM EST

The world premiere for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania took place yesterday and social media reactions from those lucky enough to have watched the movie at the event have been extremely positive. Press screenings will continue in the coming days, making it likely that spoilers will start finding their way online in advance of the threequel's release.

You won't find anything like that here, though we can now confirm that Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania has TWO post-credits scenes

As you might expect, the first will play in the middle of the credits with the second coming right at the end.

There are already rumblings online about what happens in these stingers, and neither one of them should be missed. The latest Ant-Man movie kicks off Phase 5 and is an important chapter in the Multiverse Saga with its writer, Jeff Loveness, tapped by Marvel Studios to pen Avengers: The Kang Dynasty as well.

We will have a breakdown of both post-credits scenes nearer Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania's release, so be sure to check back here nearer February 17 for that.

In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Together, with Hope’s parents Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.

Directed by Peyton Reed, the threequel also stars Jonathan Majors as Kang, David Dastmalchian as Veb, Katy O'Brian as Jentorra, William Jackson Harper as Quaz, and Bill Murray as Lord Krylar.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is set to be released in theaters on February 17.

The epic Echo cameo EVERYONE is waiting for.

@LordHarryLatts - Well, let's just hope that they're not bending down to pick up their belongings from the theater floor otherwise the'd miss it entirely (then again who actually sets anything of worth on the theater floor - jeeze that's what the empty seat next to you is for (or at least it WAS empty when you sat down and now your backpack is taking it up so everyone else who wants it can go f**k themselves and sit in the front row because they should have gotten there earlier)).

One setting up the future of the MCU and one nonsense.

I know that this is a silly want, but I had a dream last week that the end credits included the characters in miniaturized form as they danced and pulled shenanigans on the rolling credits.

I think that my mind is telling me that if I'm gonna sit through all the end credits, I'd love for them to at least be entertaining. Where are my Pixar outtakes?

@TheRose - didn't the second Guardians do something like that? Remember those being fairly entertaining, just not exactly because of what anymore.

@bkmeijer1 - It was either GotG 2 or Thor: Ragnarok. I seem to recall the Grandmaster being involved in a credits crawl (beyond the "It's a tie!" post-credit).

@TheRose - I think Grandmaster may have been in GotG 2's credits now that you mention it

They lost me with post credits scenes after the

a) Tony Stark using Banner as a psychologist and Banner falling asleep (Iron Man 3)

b) The Spider-Man Captain America post credits scene. (Spider-Man Homecoming)

Post credits scenes used to carry some weight, but don't screw with your audience making them think they have to sit through an entire credit run only to give them something silly and pointless.

At least the Homecoming post credits was self-referential, but after the disappointment bait and switch of main plot of Iron Man 3, that post credits scene just added to the disappointment.

It better be an ant playing the drums again. Albeit in the Quantum Realm this time.

@MotherGooseUPus - How else were they supposed to confirm the number of post credits scenes? Lol

@CorndogBurglar - it was posted in the article about the first reactions... most of the people tweeting or posting said to stay for 2 scenes after the movie

"How Many Post-Credits Scenes Does ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA Have?"

TWO.

Instead, we get an entire "article" with no details.
Don't ever change, Josh. 🤣

I hate post credit scenes. I really do. The novelty has beyond wore off. The worst is waiting through endless credits for a joke scene. Extremely annoying.

I think the movie will end with Thanos...er..oops.. Kang killing and/or kidnapping one or more of the 5 heroes.

Then he will sue everyone in the universe for his (In his mind) unlawful imprisonment in the Quantum zone. He will use the some other Kang variant dude did it defense claiming he never did any of that bad stuff.
