Avengers: Infinity War may have to contend with Deadpool 2 and Solo: A Star Wars Story at the box office but there's still plenty of good news for the critically acclaimed ensemble. After earning an incredible $300.6 million in just 10 days, the Russo Brothers helmed release is now officially the biggest Marvel movie to ever hit China, an incredible feat which has helped its worldwide cume in a big way.
Well, I say "helped" but it's not like it actually needed that much assistance because it was already on $1.5 billion before it reached the Middle Kingdom! However, it currently sits at $1.85 billion globally and analysts believe it will pass $1.9 billion over the weekend despite competition from Star Wars.
As of right now, there's a very, very good chance that it will be able to pass the $2 billion mark but there are differing opinions in regards to the chances of it overtaking The Force Awakens' $2.068 billion cume. Either way, it's fair to say that Avengers: Infinity War is a massive hit and that Disney and Marvel must be very happy. It's also pretty obvious that this franchise won't actually be going anywhere...
