It Sounds Like The Winter Soldier Will Undergo Some Major Changes In AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

The last time we saw Bucky, he was being cryogenically frozen by Black Panther in Wakanda and now Avengers: Infinity War co-director Anthony Russo teases some big technological upgrades for the hero.

In Captain America: Civil War, Bucky's arm was blasted off by Iron Man during the final battle between him, Tony Stark, and Steve Rogers, and when he was frozen by Black Panther, the hero was still missing that metallic limb. Well, we've seen in the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War that he has it back but co-director Antony Russo has now indicated that it will have undergone some pretty major changes.

"For everyone who’s seen Captain America: Civil War, they know Bucky was taken in by T’Challa in Wakanda," the filmmaker explains. "I think
that, you know, we catch back up with him after he’s been there for a while, and if there’s an influence on his arm, it may perhaps have to do with that country that he’s been spending time in." The question is, what will those influences ultimately end up being?

We don't know but it's only ever been a more powerful/formidable arm in the comic books so you'd have to hope that it doesn't become too silly or science-fiction-y. However, some blasters or advanced Wakandan tech would be very cool but perhaps the most likely possibility is that T'Challa has forged Bucky an arm out of indestructible Vibranium!
