Fans have created some very convincing Avengers: Infinity War fan posters, therefore, if a theater mistakenly uses one, we shouldn't be too surprised. However, it becomes quite concerning, then, when one theater chose to use a fan poster than contains Hawkeye on the cover.
By now most of us should know that Hawkeye did not feature in Avengers 3 for whatever reason, so him showing up on a poster isn’t something Marvel would do. The theater, located in Antwerp, must have had no idea Hawkeye was missing in action, and as such, they thought this fan poster was legit.
We’re guessing this poster was created after many Marvel fans were wondering where Hawkeye was in the film’s marketing leading up to its debut.
Chances are, the Antwerp theater must have removed the poster because it’s a form of false advertising. Should a fan of the character, who has yet to see the movie, went inside the theater with Hawkeye in mind, only to realize he’ll never appear, then that’s where the lawyers could earn some cash.
What happened to Hawkeye according to Avengers: Infinity War?
Well, the movie didn’t share a lot of information about his whereabouts or why he failed to show up. However, if we take a step back and remember Captain America: Civil War, then it’s safe to assume Hawkeye is living with this family or on the run due to the Sokovia Accords.
He gave up the quiet life to aid Steve Rogers in Civil War, but with all the madness that happened in Infinity War, there’s no doubt in our minds that Hawkeye won’t return in Avengers 4 to aid what’s left of the team.
At this point, the team will require the help of anyone who’s able. Thanos has won, therefore, they have nothing to lose and only everything to gain. The Mad Titan will be the one on the defensive as the Avengers move to set things right again.
