RUMOR: AVENGERS: SECRET WARS Will Finally Address SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME's Venom Post-Credits Scene

According to a new rumour, the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars movie will finally see Tom Holland's Peter Parker don the alien costume left behind by Venom in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Check it out...

In Venom: Let There Be Carnage's surprise post-credits scene, Eddie Brock found himself mysteriously transported to the MCU's Earth-616. The symbiote caught sight of Spider-Man on a news report and was clearly interested in tracking the web-slinger down.

There was no sign of him in Spider-Man: No Way Home until another stinger revealed that Eddie had decided against leaving Mexico.

When Doctor Strange unleashed his spell, Venom was sent home but left a piece of the symbiote behind. The stage was then set for Peter Parker to eventually get his own alien suit, though we still don't quite know how it would travel across the border to New York City.

In the three years since Spider-Man: No Way Home was released, we've been left to assume that this was a Sony-mandated add-on which isn't likely to lead anywhere.

However, according to a new rumour shared by The Cosmic Circus' @AlexFromCC, the Symbiote left behind in the MCU will play a role in Avengers: Secret Wars

That's all we know for now, but where better for Peter to don the black suit than in a movie which shares a name with the comic book series where he first donned it? Whether the Multiverse means we'll get to see Tom Hardy's Venom join him remains to be seen.

However, set photos from Venom: The Last Dance have confirmed the threequel picks up moments after he was returned to his own reality.

"The simple answer is that I’ll always want to do Spider-Man films," Tom Holland recently said of where things stand with Spider-Man 4"I owe my life and career to Spider-Man. So the simple answer is yes. I’ll always want to do more."

"We have the best in the business working toward whatever the story might be. But until we’ve cracked it, we have a legacy to protect," the actor explained. "The third movie was so special in so many ways that we need to make sure we do the right thing."

"This is the first time in this process that I’ve been part of the creative so early. It’s just a process where I’m watching and learning. It’s just a really fun stage for me," he added. "Like I said, everyone wants it to happen. But we want to make sure we’re not overdoing the same things."

If Spider-Man does don his black suit in Avengers: Secret Wars, we'd like to think it won't be a one-and-done and that he'll still have it when Spider-Man 5 rolls around.

Stay tuned for updates.

What do you mean finally…

We haven’t had a Spider Man movie since 2021 so where else do you think they were going to address the Symbiote ?.

Anyway , I could see us getting Spidey 4 post Secret Wars where we see the MCU do their take on the symbiote which NWH set up perfectly imo.

Due to Peter’s increasing isolation and loneliness , those negative feelings make the symbiote latch onto him…

You could even introduce the Osborns and have Peter’s anger increase whenever he sees the MCU Norman Osborn due to him having killed Aunt May so Peter’s preconceived notions could get the better of him.

I say just wait till after the SW reboot, and do the story right. I can’t remember who suggested it, but Alan Ritchson would make a great Eddie Brock.

"though we still don't quite know how it would travel across the border to New York City"

... its a symbiote that bonds with things. It could literally jump on an illegal alien and then get a free plane trip to NY vis DeSantis or the Texas governor.

@JonC - Exactly what one of them did in Venom, jumped from host to host

We already had a Spider-Man movie where he wears the symbiote, gets rid of it and it finds a new host. That's way too repetitive.

Yes that [frick]ed up on Venom, but then we got some justice with the first Venom movie.

Besides it'd just be Night Monkey.

@ObserverIO - However if it's just a subplot in an Avengers movie I suppose that would be different enough.

If everyone on Earth already guessed this, does it even qualify as a rumor?
