AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Comic-Con Trailer Screenshots Reveal An Earlier Version Of Iron Man Vs. Thanos

Some newly surfaced screenshots from the Comic-Con trailer for Avengers: Infinity War reveal an earlier take on the moment Josh Brolin's Mad Titan threw an entire moon at Iron Man. Check it out...

At the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios shared an early look at Avengers: Infinity War, and it certainly got fans talking. Those lucky enough to be in Hall H were treated to a very early trailer which culminated with Thanos throwing an entire moon at Iron Man on Titan.

As money shots go, it was a great way to blow the roof off the building, and some screenshots from that preview have now found their way online (via The Direct).

There are some key differences here as the Mad Titan looks a little different, while Titan itself also clearly underwent some changes before Avengers: Infinity War arrived in theaters. Unfortunately, Marvel Studios never releases these unfinished trailers shown at events like Comic-Con and D23, as they're exclusive to those who attend these shows and often feature rough VFX and cut scenes.

It's cool just seeing these screenshots, though, and this battle will definitely be remembered as one of the most memorable to have ever graced the big screen as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Infinity war was one of the most epic movies I've ever seen. It's still the only movie had me on the edge of my seat. An emotional roller-coaster and helluva theater experience.

@MyCoolYoung - I agree.

I love how it became an instant classic due to being one of the few films EVER that manage not only to meet the hype, but exceed it.

@kylo0607 - I couldn't of asked for more. I did not expect thanos to be in the movie as much as he was. Just a crazy good time

@MyCoolYoung - it is the greatest, most epic experience I've ever had in a movie theater. Endgame was really great, but the energy in the entire crowd at the theater where I saw Infinity War, you really got the sense this was cinematic history. And how we all reacted to parts of the movie was just epic.

@HeavyMetal4Life - that’s the best way to put it. The energy from the crowds was something special.

The triumphant feeling when Thor arrived and The collective gasp after the snap was different. Ive never felt that type of vibe before.

@MyCoolYoung - I've never seen a theater erupt like when Thor arrived in Wakanda. Or the feeling of seriousness during the opening moments of the movie or during the snap.

@HeavyMetal4Life -

I forgot about that opening sequence. It went a long way to announce Thanos meant business. He choked Loki out while looking Thor in the eyes

@MyCoolYoung - from the get go, when we hear the Asgardian distress signal, I knew shit was serious. That set the entire tone for the movie. Sends chills up my spine.

@MyCoolYoung - I was pleasantly surprised at how expansive and perfectly done the New York (spidey, strange, wrong, stark) battle was. I remember all the leaks but thought it would be a short battle. It was so amazing

@HeavyMetal4Life - one of the funniest parts of the whole commentary track comes right at the beginning, when they say "This movie had so much damn story, we had to start telling it before the Marvel logo even disappeared."

Will never forget the absolute chaos that was those few hours where there was Infinity War trailer footage out in the wild

Pure euphoric madness

I remember I was in the midst of a break up with a longtime girlfriend when the first footage from comic con leaked like in December, before the official trailer even came out. Man, got me through a hard time. I cried when I finally bought my tickets for opening night with my friend group (we all saw the first Avengers in theaters together our last year of middle school. Crazy times

I still hold a grudge against my local theatre for messing up the 3D projector and not letting me enjoy this movie in all it's glory on the first day.

Luckily by the time of my second viewing they fixed it and ever since I'm convinced this is the best Marvel movie to date.

I can totally understand in all the time up until theatrical release, but especially now, almost a full year after End Game, what's the down side to releasing a proper copy of this CC trailer, just for the die hard fans' sake? Especially with the environment these days.

I remember seeing this in D23. I actually lined up for the animation panel instead. I was close to getting in then the room reached it's capacity. The staff then gave us wristbands for the next day for the live action panel. Boy was I in for a treat.

"with Thanos throwing an entire moon at Iron Man on Titan"

...when will people understand that he did NOT throw a WHOLE moon at him... the glove was used to break off the facing SURFACE of the moon and that is what was thrown at iron man.

If a whole moon was thrown they would all be under MILES of dirt/soil/rock.
