Avengers: Infinity War was a game changer and Thanos stands out as arguably the greatest villain to ever grace a comic book movie. Despite its whopping running time, there were obviously scenes which didn't make the cut (many of which we'll see on the Blu-ray) but several of them were never even shot. Now, writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have shared some new details about them.
Apparently, we would have seen an extended flashback sequence detailing how Thanos dealt with being rejected by his fellow Titans after suggesting wiping out half the planet's population, while another scene was going to show the villain recruiting his Blak Order (characters who could have done with being fleshed out). There was also going to be a "tonally different" opening with Tony and Pepper.
"We had a couple of really cool versions of an action sequence illustrating what Steve, Natasha, and Falcon – basically the Secret Avengers – have been up to," Markus adds. "They kicked a lot of ass and it was brutal." The writers also confirm a larger role in for Captain America in Avengers 4 as it's said the fan-favourite hero will end up getting a "very intense arc" in the sequel (which is a definite must).
