Having been teased all the way back in 2012's Marvel's The Avengers, fans will want Thanos to be the greatest villain the Avengers will face, and it looks like Kevin Feige is telling us there is nothing to worry about. Thanos will not disappoint.

At this year's Comic-Con Experience in Brazil, Kevin Feige teases that Thanos will shock audiences from the start, by doing something dreadful within the first 5 minutes of Avengers: Infinity War:

"You know, we’ve been teasing Thanos since the very first Avengers film. Remember the end of Avengers, the very end of the movie he turns around in the chair and you realize something bad is coming. We’ve been teasing him for years and the trick is when you tease something for that long you have to deliver. So, within the first five minutes of Infinity War people will understand why Thanos is the biggest and baddest villain in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe."

Avengers: Infinity War will be the climax of 10 years and 17 films worth of buildup. We will see the Avengers fight for the universe May 4th, 2018.

I'd guess the first five minutes are either the attack on the Asgardian Ship or the Guardians Of The Galaxy finding Thanos about to kill the Collector for the Reality Stone.

The attack on the Asgardian Ship makes the most sense as;
- Thor gets beaten to near death and thrown into space
- Loki is forced to hand over an Infinity Stone
- Hulk gets beaten to near death and thrown into space
- Xandar will likely be destroyed second in order for Thanos to get the Power Stone

So first 5 minutes in theory Thanos could almost kill Thor and Hulk and almost commit genocide on the Asgardians - before destroying Xandar.

@Scarilian - Xandar first. In the trailer when Thanos adds the space stone to his gauntlet, he already has the power(purple stone) attached. So this means he already went to Xandar, and that means Loki giving up the tesseract is also the VERY next thing.

@ScarletWarlock - Good call. Opening will be Thanos showing up on Xander in full gear and taking out everyone by himself while walking into the Base, and eventually the vault where the stone is kept.

@Scarilian - I heard a rumour Thanos already has the Power Stone at the beginning of the movie. He got it offscreen. That’s why the Guardians are after him as they were called by the Nova Corps. That’s where they find Thor.

@TheIlluminati - I love Marvel and Feige but Star Wars is fine the way it is. The Last Jedi was incredible.

He has to attack Xandar first for the Power stone so he eliminates them, then heads for the space stone via Loki informing him where they are in space.
