We have already heard from Ruffalo on a few occasions since he was announced at Comic Con as taking over from Edward Norton as Bruce Banner in The Avengers. Now speaking to Empire he reveals that we might see him star as the Green Goliath in some solo Hulk movies after The Avengers..
"
They set up several pictures over a couple of years and possibly there will be a Hulk movie. There'll probably be a couple more Avengers too, which would be fun."
So will his take on the character be much different than previous ones? Most recently of course, Norton's?
"The way I see it, Edward Norton has bequeathed this role to me. I reckon the part is my generation's Hamlet, and there's still some room for interpreting who The Hulk is.
Growing up I'd rush home to watch my favourite show. You had the main character, played by Bill Bixby, and he had this calming quality to him. I watched it again recently, and it was so different from anything on TV at the time. You could really see the character struggling with the human aspect of what was happening."
I'm sure
Hulk fans will be pleased to hear Ruffalo seems to think so highly of the character. You can see him go green in
The Avengers which is due for release May 4th 2012, and will most likely shoot in march of next year.
