Although BLACK WIDOW doesn't need to be in THE AVENGERS, if she is hopefully its just a cameo and we need HANK & JAN, they are a must!!

P.S. A solo BLACK WIDOW movie would be very cool, an a WAR MACHINE solo movie too for that matter!

god it feels like everyone has seen this. I havent seen it yet. so no Scar Jo accent? I thought she had an american accent cuz she was undercover and when she is black widow even though she is never referred to as Black Widow has her russian accent

the only issue i can forsee for a potential Black Widow film would be the villain. she has an awesome story that i hope can be done justice but she isn't like other heroes who have this great rogue's gallery of villains. and i wouldn't wouldn't want her film to be like Hancock where there is no discernable villain.

i would want her film to be one of self discovery like Batman Begins. but the only villain i can think of for her is Yelena Belova: the other Black Widow.

do solo movies for black widow,we need a decent female charactor comicbook movie,after the shit that comes out like catwoman,elektra,witchblade,tank girl & barb wire(nice costume though.)
as for war machine do a crossover movie with iron man 3
either against a.i.m or hydra.
if not that the classic .... ARMOUR WARS STORYLINE.

I actually wouldnt mind seeing Black Widow (along with Hawkeye of course!) in The Avengers! If they were used in the same way that they were in The Ultimates it could make for some interesting scenes! Plus, with still no news on whether we'll see Ant-Man/Giant-Man and Wasp, we'll need all the members we can get to save it from just being a three man band of Cap, Thor and Iron Man!

Oh, and as for War Machine being in The Avengers? No [frick]ing way. :P Cheadle was awesome but his character just doesnt belong there IMO.

scarlett goes from a indie comic book to mainstream comics. she first caught people's attention in ghost world and now she's black widow. cool stuff.

I hope they keep her outta the Avengers. Either that or replace her with the actress who shoulda been Black Widow...Milla Jovovich! Nuff said.

@Anil: Why would her accent slip when she's with Fury? If she's trained to speak fluently, without an accent - then it wouldn't make sense for her to fake a Russian accent when she's with Fury. She doesn't "cover" the accent up - she DOES NOT HAVE ONE. If she did have even the slightest trace of an accent, then all she'd have to do is talk in her sleep and she'd be dead. She's a superspy - the only language she'd ever speak with Russian accent is Russian.

She wouldn't have a Russian accent! EVER! Not with her handler, not with her lovers, not with her mother, not in her sleep. She does not speak ANY languages with anything other than a 'native' accent. It could be no other way!

Really - I'm getting a headache from banging my head on my desk from the sheer exasperation of trying to get this across.

Spy + slightest trace of an accent = dead.

Spy + so fluent it's natural = slightly less chance of deadness.

And we're talking the Black Widow here. Best of the best. Top of the game. Nick Fury's secret weapon. Accent?! Pfft. Accents are for B-movie villains and amateurs.
