The last we heard regarding filming for Joss Whedon's superhero actioner
Marvel's The Avengers was that it's "on schedule and going well." And now, the folks at
SHH have recently been tipped by 'EvilElvis' of a filming location in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Nothing to get too hyped for, besides it being new, the scooper offered the following:
These were taking in Albuquerque, NM where they are filming the Avengers movie aka GH aka Group Hug. They have leased the old Santa Fe rail yard. Cheers!

The images above may hint at an "India" setting for the scene. And with Marvel leasing the Santa Fe railyard,
this doesn't confirm Albuquerque nor Santa Fe being the setting for scenes filmed there (check out the sanskrit signs), there is in fact a railway that connects the two. And doing a little digging, I found that the Southern Railway located in the "Santa Fe Railyard" district is closed due to track fixtures. Hopefully, the Hulk is involved with filming here, maybe paying homage to Goliath being tricked by Loki into destroying a railroad track in the original Stan Lee-written 'Avengers' comic, essentially assembling the team. What do you think?
Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston & Stellan Skarsgård, the film releases May 4, 2012!
