VIDEO GAMES: First Trailer Released For AVENGERS INITIATIVE Mobile Game

Last month, a new mobile game of some sort was teased by Marvel, and it has today been revealed as Avengers Initiative; an episodic platformer which will see the first instalment allow players take control of the Hulk as they battle the likes of the Super-Skrull, Wendigo, Zzzax and the Abomination.

Available on iOS and Android devices, the first instalment of Avengers Initiative will go on sale tomorrow for $6.99. Set in the same universe as Facebook's Marvel: Avengers Alliance, the first episode picks up after "The Pulse" results in America being left without power, with Nick Fury tasking Earth's Mightiest Heroes to keep a country in chaos under control. Written by Fred Van Lente (Amazing Spider-Man), the first instalment sees the Hulk battle some of his most iconic villains - and other well-known Marvel bad guys - in 'The Vault'. Future episodes (released for no extra charge) will put the spotlight on other Avengers such as Captain America, Iron Man and Thor. Arent those his Marvel NOW! Shorts and belt!? I'm betting they're going with the current costumes for this just like the Justice League mobile game has their new 52 costumes and classic unlock-able ones.

They really should have had all the Avengers playable from the beginning.

They made him look like Ed Norton's Hulk... Why not Ruffalo's? Unless it's just a coincidence that it looks EXACTLY like Norton's Hulk.

Its probably because at the time the game was being Developed, it was under the assumption that Norton's Hulk would be in the Avengers before it all broke down.

Norton Hulk or Ruffalo Hulk..it is still TIH, just different actors.

It looks awesome and the graphics are kind of similar to “Marvel Heroes.” I wouldn't be surprised if the next chapter revolves around the Iron Man (dealing with hacked Sentinels and the effects of the Pulse) because this game acts as a side-mission to the ones already on offer in “Avengers Alliance,” the Facebook game. They share the same story line, evident with the same launch hero being the Hulk.
