If you remember, afdter the release of the trailer to the |Ultimate Edition" to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Cinematographer Larry Fong took to his Twitter, stating the following "Those of you who are fans, will dig it. If you hated it, you'll still hate it." This caused many to assume the Ultimate Cut that would improve the story, would not improve the overall film in the eys of those who criticized said movie.
Now recently, Fong has seem to have taken back his statements with a new tweet that's more positive this time around:
"Watched the
#UltimateEdition again; now believe EVERYONE will LOVE it. Pre-order TODAY!"
This continued when he was asked what was his favorite scene, replying "There's so much. Maybe the desert scene where more is explained."
Still, personally, this is a bit mixed: while I'm happy because the Ultimate Cut is what BvS truly is, not the one in theatres which is why I didn't see it when it was out, I wonder if this was less of Fong realizing this and more of damage control.
What do you guys think?
