We recently reported on a rumor that Rihanna has recorded two new songs for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, and Marvel Studios has now confirmed that the mega-popular singer/actress has at least one new tune on the way - and it's coming this Friday!

Though the multi-time Grammy Award-winning artist is not mentioned by name in the brief promo, that "R" at the end is obviously a dead giveaway!

Rihanna hasn't released any new music since her 2016 album Anti, so this news is sure to be welcomed by her legions of fans. It is no small task to follow Kendrick Lamar and SZA's stunning "All The Stars," but we'd say Miss Fenty is more than up to the challenge!

As far as we know, Rihanna will perform the end-credits tune and one other track for the Marvel Studios sequel. We assume the former will debut on Friday.

The first press screenings for Wakanda Forever are taking place tomorrow morning, so give me a follow on Twitter if you want to check out my social media reaction.

UPDATE: Rihanna has now shared a brief tease of the track, which is titled "Lift Me Up."

In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena, and Alex Livanalli.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters on November 11.
