The first part can be read here Part I. I’ve also included a chart to reference who I’ve covered already.

Everyone knows part 2 of a trilogy is the game changer. So I’ve loaded my sequel with plenty of star power. I have two big players from the original Avengers, a villain who could be a friend, and new blood.

First The Wildcards, Thor, Hulk, and the Winter Soldier. One’s in the movie and the other two could be out.

Thor: AoU ended with Thor going off world.  Speculation is he may be off screen until his solo movie in Oct of 2017. I for one hope not.  That’s a long time without the Son of Odin. Maybe a Dr Strange or GotG 2 cameo. Throw us a bone Marvel.  But you kind of see where I’m going. I know a clone of Thor plays a significant part in the Novelization of Civil War. I just think it’s to complex of a plot line to do properly in a movie that is already bursting at the seams.  Sadly no Thor in Civil War.
Opinion:  100% neutral.

Hulk: Where’s the Big Guy?  Mark Ruffalo created a bit of a stir last week with a tweet that could have been interpreted that he was going to appear in Civil War. Couple that with the addition of William Hurt as Thunderbolt Ross and that opens the door just a crack.  Could we get more Hulk sooner than we thought? Now if he is in it what side would he end up on? Banner’s despair over the destruction the Hulk does. Leads me to lean towards him supporting some measure of accountability. He’s closest to Tony and his scientific background makes him a plausible replacement for an absent Reed Richards.  That would put him on the same side as Ross though.  That’s an uneasy alliance if there ever was. Will the Russo’s continue Whedon’s romantic plotline involving BW?  In the end I give it a slight chance that he joins team Iron Man, but more than likely he sits out like Thor.
Opinion: 5% Iron Man 95% Neutral.

Winter Soldier: I hesitated putting him on the list but I felt he was the true definition of a wildcard. If Bucky comes to his senses and chooses to join Steve for the final battle. He would tip the scales. The Winter Soldier could hold his own verse 90 % of the Hero’s appearing in this movie. I don’t think the Russo’s would leave all that firepower on the sidelines. Bucky turns good for the final fight.
Opinion: 50% with Captain America. 50% Neutral.

The New Allies, These players haven’t made their debut on screen or have just been glimpsed in a 2 minute trailer. So this is speculation at its finest. I expect the majority of disagreements to be about these characters.

The Ant-Man trio, Scott Lang, Henry Pym, and Hope Van Dyne. I am really hoping that the Ant-man movie is the connective tissue between phase 2 and Civil War. There is so much potential to flesh out Civil War with these three. The movie needs a replacement for the Fantastic Four and an adult Peter Parker. Now I’m assuming a lot for my theories to work. Like Hope becoming Wasp and being romantically linked with Scott. I also need Hank to not be the rumored twist in Ant-man thus becoming a villain. Lot of what ifs but that’s what makes it fun.

Henry Pym: I know he’s a Skrull in Civil War.  I’m just going to except that’s not happening. What we’ve read so far about MCU’s Hank is he doesn’t trust Hero’s.  He probably is one of the architects of this mess.  He would also give us a nice replacement for Reed Richards. Pro registration all the way.
Opinion: 100% with Ironman.

Hope Van Dyne/Wasp: I really really hope she’s Wasp, but if she’s not I can still see a place for her in this movie. Her mother was killed being a hero. That would provide the audience with a powerful counter argument to hero’s running unchecked. I think her relationship with Scott will play a key role in what he decides to do.  Most of all the movie needs more ladies.
Opinion: 100% Iron Man

Ant-Man: I’ve been floating this theory a lot lately. I believe Scott Lang will be this movie’s Peter Parker. He has the most to lose by revealing his identity to the public. He’s an Ex- con.  His motivation from the Ant-man Synopsis is a redemption story. Most importantly he’s a family man.  I believe Hank and Hope will convince Scott revealing his identity is a good idea. Like Peter he will regret it as it opens up his life to all sorts of attacks. Scott will start with Ironman then switch to Cap.
Opinion: 50% with Iron Man 50% with Captain America.

Now what we’ve all been waiting for.  Ladies and Gentlemen the future of the MCU. Drumroll please!!!

Spiderman:  16 year old boy with a passion for science and the ability to swing from webs. I can’t wait. I’m all in with the teen Spiderman. Ok, everyone not a 16 year old boy try to imagine back to when you were. Who would you pick?  A billionaire science guy who’s hip, drives cool cars and has the latest gadgets. This guy might build you a cool iron suit and let you play hero.  Or the other  guy, a old school soldier from the 50’s who doesn’t swear and thinks it’s wise that you go home and leave this hero stuff to the grownups. Time and time again the MCU’s Tony Stark has made irresponsible decisions. Here comes another one. The worse father figure in the MCU will take the youngest hero under his wing. Or my fan boy Spidey theory will be crushed when he just has a cameo. Swings in and then out and remains neutral the whole movie.
Opinion: 75% Ironman 25% neutral

Black Panther: Return of the King! All Hail the King! While Spiderman is my favorite character I’m actually more excited about T'challa. His appearance is long overdue. What motivates the King of Wakanda to reveal himself? The set pictures appear to be set in Africa. This is the second time the Avengers have brought their mess to the Black Panthers doorsteps. They have gotten his attention. Then there’s the Winter Soldier running around. So what is Panthers place in Civil War.  His first concern will be that of his nation. I don’t think he will have a problem with Tony personally and may even agree that hero’s need to be put in check. It’s the zealots like Ross, and Pym that cannot be trusted. T'challa will remain neutral as long as he can but in the end he will stand alongside Captain America.
Opinion: 75% with Captain America 25% Neutral

Well that’s it for part 2 Discuss it.  Debate it.  Destroy it. Thanks for reading. I’ll finish this thingup in a couple of days with the final part discussing members of shield and the TV shows.
Peace

Spidey and Black Panther will most likely be neutral.

If you read the comics you would know that Spidey starts with Sony and realises he was wrong and joined Captain America.
Black Panther will be Neutral the entire movie, I think Tony (like in the comics) seeks contact with him and they end up fighting because he did buisness with Klaw, so more of a glorified cameo (Nick Fury in AoU) to set up his solo movie.

What I'm still wondering is who will play Reed Richards role that was big in this comic-arc, I'm now going for Hank Pym but I could be wrong.

@VictorMancha
I know it was a typo, but I laughed when you said Spider-Man started out with Sony and realized he made a mistake.

@WakandasSoul I’m not 100% sure he will. It could just be a cameo. Like I said swings in swings out. But If he is. I see it as a young kid who just wants to do go things with his powers. He trusts a grownup that he admirers. Tony won’t think this through and let the kid join the fight. Spiderman will believe he’s just being a Hero. Peter won’t be involved with or really understand the political part, unless he switches over to Cap’s side. There he will be educated a bit on why their fighting. Ultimately what I’d like to see as a Spiderman fan is the conflict play out through the eyes of a child. Peter then becomes the moral compass and reminds everyone why they became hero’s in the first place.

I would have been involved in a political battle at 16, but I've always been big into politics. Whether or not that fits Peter Parker's personality is a different question.

My ideal Thor appearance would simply be a post credit scene:

Thor appears to the latest incarnation of the Avengers team, informing them that he is leaving Earth for good and will not be returning. He has seen the face of the Titan that will soon threaten Earth and abandons the team to avoid being in his path. They react negatively, but he simply backs away and calls upon the bifrost. Back in Asgard, Thor greets Heimdall, though they share a peculiar stare for a short moment. As Thor walks down a quiet corridor, he begins to momentarily glow and is revealed to have actually been Loki is disguise.

Obviously that would be dependent on the plot of Thor Ragnarok, though. But it would be good use of Loki trying to mess with the Avengers, and a good way to set up a sense of coming dread throughout the Phase 3 movies and into Inifinity War.

@ Humby

That end credits would be good and would let the Avengers know that they have real problems coming if Thor is running from it.
