When Marvel announced the cast and start of filming for Captain America: The Winter Soldier back in April, the press release seemed to be discreet about Revenge star Emily VanCamp's actual role in the sequel. While the Canadian actress' character was listed only as Agent 13, common Marvel Comics knowledge advises that she's playing Sharon Carter. Speaking with Vanity Fair Daily yesterday, VanCamp talked a bit about working on the political thriller. “I’m wrapping up Captain America on Monday,” she said before insisting that Samuel L. Jackson was "very nice and funny on set." However, VanCamp admits to being overwhelmed while filming. “It was a very intimidating situation. So many incredible actors. It was nice that they were all really sweet to me.”
Meanwhile, Sharon Carter's aunt Peggy Carter actress Hayley Atwell has been spotted on the Cleveland set of
Captain America: The Winter Soldier today. Photos are imminent, but Clevelanders on Twitter report the Marvel production is shooting scenes in a "nursing home," where Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) visits old WWII buddies. While Atwell has confirmed she's appearing in flashbacks, it is still unclear if she'll also wear old-age makeup for present day scenes. What do you think?
“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” picks up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.
