Among the outlets who visited the set of Captain America: The Winter Soldier last year was Southern Bella's Ways To Save, and now it seems their embargo has been lifted. The blog has revealed a new production image as well as quotes from the Marvel sequel's property master, Russell Bobbitt. "In our movie we have four different looks because he goes into different scenarios, different missions," Bobbit said of Cap's shield. "He applies different material — Marvel materials that help make the shield stealth in different situations. So, we have four different styles. In theory in the Marvel lore, there’s one shield. In this movie we have a couple surprises with the shield. It’ll appear that there are different shields, but it’s only one shield. That one shield I have to make 50 of them to accommodate all the different (types of material)– I have hard rubber, soft rubber, fiberglass, metal to depending on if there’s an insert on it I use a metal one ‘cause it looks the best. We need so many because we do different sort of shots. You know, if he’s walking around and it’s on his back, I can put a really clean nice heavy one on him. And when we photograph them from behind, it looks shiny and new like metal. When he takes it off and starts fighting with it, obviously we can’t hit each other with metal shields or the boys won’t be able to play very long. So I make soft ones to accommodate that." Expect a new poster later today and a Super Bowl spot sneak peek tomorrow.

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy — the Winter Soldier. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by the team of Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive producers on the project include Alan Fine, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014.

I hope falcons screen time isn't everything we saw in the trailers. I'll be pissed. But that's something marvel would do.

Haha sorry, I'm still not over it. But I always liked X-Men more and suddenly I'm all about Avengers! Have they brainwashed me or what?? Must have been the fact that we got an AWESOME Avengers movie while all we got from X-Men was Wolverine, Wolverine and Wolverine.

@Spidey I did like Cap in the movies! But I wasn't a big fan of him in the comics, must be all that American patriotism... But then I realized that everyone should be proud of his country so I can just be as proud of my country as he is of his country!

For the record, sneak peaks for trailers are total BS. It's like a trailer for a trailer. Anyone that gets caught up in that needs some more work to do.

So far, I like all the looks. Like the idea of it too. From a lifelong Cap fan, I think it is in perfect character. As long as they do it right. The revamped costume we saw last week was great. Best yet.

Still cautiously optimistic.

@Dark Phoenix what I think he meant by source material is Marcel Studios is actually given the fans the elaborated costumes from the comics and if I'm right hopefully I am the Falcon will be getting an upgrade in AoU
