COMICS: Marvel Unveils Joe Quesada's Design For Neil Gaiman's 'Angela'

'Angela' will make her debut in the Marvel Universe in a story by Brian Michael Bendis and Neil Gaiman in the pages of Age of Ultron #10 (with artwork from Joe Quesada). "We took what Neil had laid down for the character and found a way to collaboratively fold her into the Marvel Universe in a seamless way," Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonzo told Entertainment Weekly. "What’s fascinating to me about what we have done is Angela is clearly a part of the Marvel universe by the time people understand her back-story. It’s as if she’s always been there. It doesn’t feel like we’ve just opened some portal and brought something new and strange and completely different into our universe." What do you guys think of her new look? Yes and DC is apparently sexist when the new Storm costume has a boob window, don't get me started on Emma Frosts new costume, and now this. Hypocrisy never ceases to amaze me, especially when both companies are notorious for doing things like this.

Im well aware of this, but Storms costume still has a boob window, Emma still looks like a complete and utter whore and Elektra still has her old costume, why couldn't they just give her a costume like they did with Psylocke is beyond me.

My comment was aimed towards the fanboys who use shit like this to start flame wars. I cant take it seriously when a character like Emma Frost walks around with that costume of hers, I just cant, its way too ridiculous.

Are you an Imam or something? Stop trying to force your morals on others. There is nothing wrong with what Storm is wearing. There are women in my office who show more cleavage. Angela looks like a warrior goddess. You don't have to buy these comics.

I always never got the sexist complaint. Yes women are objectified in comics, but the men are to. Yes not all women look like ms.mavel, but not all men look like thor either. Men in comics have been wearing form fitting costumes since the begining. You dont hear me complaining about namor and his banana hammock. As far as looks goes tell me the difference between falcons classic outfit and powergirls.

Now if you want to talk about the womens personality traits in comics, or the role they play, being stereotypical, I can understand. Both companies have been behind the times. I just dont get the looks complaint seeing that all the characters male and female are pretty out there most times.

I was simply stating my opinion on Emma Frost and her costume, just because some people don't understand an opinion is not a fact of life like 2+2=4 and not get ass hurt when people have a different one to theirs and they don't understand this is not my problem.

Emma Frost though, doesn't need much clothes. I always thought how awkward it would be to have a totally hot teacher who wore less clothes than 80% of the girls in my class and could read your mind.

But she's got diamond-skin powers. That protects her. Extra clothing just gets in the way. She's one of the few characters I would deem acceptable to wear so little clothes. That doesn't account for over sexualized taste. But then, all that cosmetic surgery... it kinda makes sense for her character.

WOW! This is kind of a slap in the face to Todd Mcfarlane. She's one of the more titular characters from the early Spawn mythos. Too see her suddenly pop up in Marvel just seems WRONG. Especially, since Spawn is still ongoing. It's like why even use the character at all. It doesn't feel necessary, unless there was an intention to spite. SMH

J2cool2 i go to my comic store every week for the past 3 years or so and i just noticed not 3 weeks ago that spawn is still going. Does anyone read spawn?? Like ever?
