COMICS: Marvel Reveals AVENGERS 1,000,000 BC Versions Of Phoenix, Iron Fist, And Agamotto

Got a thing for redheads and cavewomen? Well, you're going to love this first look at three more members of the very first iteration of Earth's Mightiest Heroes who date all the way back to 1,000,000 BC.

For reasons currently unknown, Marvel Legacy #1 will take us all the way back to 1,000,000 BC to reveal the very first team of Avengers. That consists of Black Panther and Starbrand along with Odin, Ghost Rider, Phoenix, Iron Fist, and Agamotto. The latter three have been revealed below and it's fair to say that these characters would probably feel more at home in a random What If? tale of some sort!

As you can see, both Phoenix and Iron Fist are basically sexy cavewomen, while Agamotto looks like a thrift store Doctor Strange. It's an odd decision creating characters like these but there will hopefully be a payoff as the publisher is planning on revealing the "startling origin of the Marvel Universe" here.

We'll just have to wait and see but Marvel Legacy promises to shake things up in the Marvel Universe in a big way as original numbering is restored and heroes like Captain America and Spider-Man finally go back to basics. What do you guys think of these teaser images? Share your thoughts down below.

Phoenix looks hot (no pun intended).

IT'S 1 000 000 BC? Sorry but the women should half some hair on the pits and legs.

@CAPTAINPINKEYE - Not to mention Iron Fist wouldn't even bother tying up her hair like that

So frank castle is war machine now, couldn't hate that move more and hope it doesn't last whatsoever

@EnnisFan - Did that happen in yesterday's issue? I've bought every issue of the new run but haven't read past the first one yet.

@blackandyellow - I'm like 6 issues in on the new run but it's a part of Legacy that he becomes war machine, they also made him hydra in secret empire which I found to be completely ridiculous and against character

blackandyellow - 7/27/2017, 10:53 AM
@EnnisFan - Hmm, interesting. They gave his reasoning for joining Hydra in #7 yesterday. It didn't make a whole lot of sense.

@blackandyellow - I stopped reading secret empire after the crazy issue with the pun/ultron hybrid that revealed Bruce banner was still alive haha couldn't take it anymore, care to spoil the reasoning for me?

@EnnisFan - Because Hydra's willing to finish the job when the superheroes weren't. And Captain America told him that he was going to use the cube to bring back everyone Hydra has killed and have them on their side after they've won. Frank must've forgot he used to be a Marine and threw in with the Nazi-offshoot dictatorship.

@blackandyellow - @blackandyellow - you just hit the nail on the head with my problem with any rationalization of the choice to make him hydra, he's a former marine and wouldn't side with villains no matter what, especially pseudo-nazis, and him just believing whatever he's being told just denegrates him to a crazy murderer with a weak moral compass
Pathogen
Pathogen - 7/27/2017, 3:28 PM
@EnnisFan - You know, you would think that. But look at today's political landscape and see all the military folk who threw in with draft dodging, PoW mocking Trump who loves the Russkies (who the military and republicans hated a few decades ago).
So who knows. Anything is possible
DillonEnnis
DillonEnnis - 7/27/2017, 3:35 PM
@Pathogen - well as a frank castle fan that doesn't really make a difference in the writers forcing me not to like him ultimately, still cheapens him as a character regardless of what politics anyone wants to inject into it
Pathogen
Pathogen - 7/27/2017, 3:37 PM
@EnnisFan - I'm just saying that you can't know what a former marine would do, as in real life, they've thrown in with someone who is the antithesis of what they stand for
DillonEnnis
DillonEnnis - 7/27/2017, 3:43 PM
@Pathogen - not real life though, and this isn't a typical former marine, this is a former marine with a very thought out mission that his entire life is devoted to and is tied into his identity and character, all of the troops that work for cap can have that excuse, not frank castle, trivializes the character
Pathogen
Pathogen - 7/28/2017, 5:25 PM
@EnnisFan - I can't argue with that logic

For a company that specializes in a visual medium, I am surprised at how poor their house ads are. Hire a graphic designer or something. These do nothing for me.

People are going to talk shit about this concept, but I'm excited on where they go with this. We could potentially learn about the Kree experiments on humans to create inhumans. We can learn about where Vibranium came from (asteroid is the leading story.... let's see it happen). We can learn about what crazy interdimensional beings Agamotto put away forever that Dr. STrange could only dream about. Potential is limitless

@Vigor - the Kree experiments and vibranium origins have already been done in Eternals. There's no mystery there anymore.
