With
Christopher Nolan and
Mattew McConaughey making their debut at
Comic-Con last night,
io9 has posted their footage descriptions of what they were able to witness from last night's
Interstellar (Hall H) panel, as well as some comments,
Nolan and
McConaughey were able to make on behalf of the film:
When questioned about his apparent interest in psychology,
Nolan stated,
"I'm just very interested in people, and in objective versus subjective." An expression from which was later expanded upon, in explaining some ideas within
Interstellar, by adding that
"It's really about human beings, about what it is to be human."
On the film's actual narrative and direction,
McConaughey expressed that his character (
Cooper) lives within a time where
"civilization is being maintained, but [that] there are no big ideas or big dreams being realized. So the journey of the film is chance to do that again."
Made clear, by the editor over at
io9, is that
Nolan's prime goal is to accomplish the similar weight, of a film such as
2001: A Space Odyssey:
"[You'll see we're] trying to show the biggest possible images and bigggest posssible imaginable phenomena ... [But my] ambition is not to do what they did because I don't think anyone could, but a similar scope and scale."

io9's article page via the link below. Have a great day!
The film chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.
