JUSTICE LEAGUE Actor Joe Morton Says Scrapped Scenes Could Be Used In CYBORG Solo Movie

During a recent interview, Joe Morton (Silas Stone) has revealed that Cyborg's story arc in Justice League was completely changed but a lot of that could end up being reused for a solo adventure...

By now, you don't need us to tell you that Justice League went through some pretty massive changes when Joss Whedon replaced Zack Snyder as director and if there's one character who really got the short end of the stick, it appears to be Cyborg. Concept art, VFX reels, and storyboards have all pointed to him having a very different story arc in the movie, nearly all of which ended up being cut.

Now, Joe Morton - who played the character's father, Silas Stone - has revealed that he believes much of what was scrapped could actually be incorporated into that once confirmed but now rumoured Cyborg movie. "There was [more we shot]. They completely changed the story," he confirmed.

"Unfortunately, I can’t tell you what [the original story] is because that might end up being in part of the Cyborg movie. Yes, there was a big change once they decided that they were going to do the Cyborg film." Whether or not that solo outing is actually going to happen is another matter, especially as it was actually announced when the DC Films division was under some very different leadership.

For what it's worth, though, Morton remains convinced it's still happening. "I know there’s supposed to be a Cyborg movie they’re going to shoot in 2020. That’s all I know. I haven’t seen a script. I think the idea is to deal more with his family so you watch the evolution of him becoming Cyborg." He probably hasn't seen a script because one doesn't exist yet but I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

@Nebula - Are you kidding? After WB and now to a larger extent AT&T saw how Black Panther shattered the record books, they're probably about to throw every black character they have at us.

‘The Meg’ Early Buzz: The Stupid, Fun, Bonkers Blockbuster You’re Hoping to See

The embargo lifted on social media reactions to The Meg last night, and at the time of this writing, not a single one of them was disappointed with the movie. All of them tout the kind of big, exciting action you’d expect to see from a movie about Jason Statham fighting a massive prehistoric beast at sea. Here are the reactions we spotted online:

tney Howard‏ @Lulamaybelle

#TheMeg *is* like JURASSIC PARK and JAWS on steroids. A total, mega-fun crowd-pleasing riot with bite that’s a gargantuan amount of mega-entertaining, mega-intense thrills. An absolute must see with a crowd

#TheMeg is the most enjoyable movie of the summer. You'll scream, you'll laugh, and you'll stay the hell out of the water.

Seriously, I can't sing this movie's praises enough. It's pure fun from start to finish. Everything you want out of a trip to the movies. @MegMovie

@DoubleD - #TheMeg is a shameless attempt to cash-in on the Sharnado trend by Hollywood.

I find a Cyborg movie very unlikely at this point. There's no real outcry for one and Cyborg was the most forgettable non-character of Justice League.

@HeavyMetal4Life - It's a shame too, because Fisher did pretty good considering what he was working with.
