In "Rumor Mill," we share the hard to buy rumours that don't come from reliable sources like the trades, but are still more believable (just) than what you might find on Reddit.
Vixen is definitely a popular character, and after appearing in Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, and her own CW Seed animated series, it sounds like there may now be plans for her on the big screen too. According to a story shared by GWW, they've learned from "multiple, separate sources" that a project is being developed featuring the character in the DC Extended Universe.
There's no information beyond that, with it said only that this Vixen project is in the early stages of development and that Warner Bros. is currently taking pitches from filmmakers.
Of course, there's nothing to say this will wind up playing in theaters, and it's entirely possible that the project is being developed for HBO Max. That's going to be the home for a number of big budget DC Comics movies and shows, so a character like Vixen could fit in nicely in that corner of the DCEU.
Created by Gerry Conway and Bob Oksner in 1981's Action Comics #521, Mari Jiwe McCabe possesses the Tantu Totem and is able to harness the spirit of any animal, unleashing its powers in the process. She's a cool character, and definitely one that has some live-action potential.
