BULLET TRAIN Star Brad Pitt Explains Why He Made That Crazy Cameo Appearance In DEADPOOL 2

Brad Pitt made an unexpected and memorable cameo appearance as Vanisher in 2018's Deadpool 2, and the actor has now explained what prompted him to join the Marvel Universe in such an unexpected way...

Deadpool 2 introduced X-Force, but not quite in the way fans expected. The team was used solely for comedic effect, with each member killed in suitably gory ways before Wade Wilson headed into battle alongside Cable and Domino.

Among those who signed up for the Merc with the Mouth's team was Vanisher, an invisible character we learned was being played by Brad Pitt after the mutant got caught up in some electrical lines. The Bullet Train star was only on screen for a few seconds, but it remains one of the Deadpool sequel's most memorable moments.

Talking to Ali Plumb to promote his latest movie, Pitt was asked to explain why he agreed to join the Marvel Universe in such an unconventional fashion as well as what the experience was like.

"What was shooting that like? Pretty much, easiest thing I’ve ever done," he admitted. "[David Leitch is] an old friend of mine and he used to be...he was my stunt double starting with Fight Club and all the way up till about 2004. And then he went off and became a really good director, which is rare. Rare."

Pitt added, "Ryan called and like, 'Why not?'"

It's hard to say whether the actor has any interest in joining the MCU or DCEU (it might be better giving the latter a miss for the time being based on recent events), but we'd love to see it happen. As for this cameo, it was undeniably hilarious and the sort of thing only the Deadpool franchise could get away with.

Earlier this week, we actually rounded up some of Bullet Train's biggest cameos over at ActioNewz.com. It too featured some surprise A-List talent, and you can find out who showed up by clicking here. We also have a breakdown of the post-credits scene here

Nope (saw NOPE btw, really liked it)!! Need to see PREY and the series finale of Black Bird. Both of which I’m dying to watch. I’ve moving my mom into her new place the last couple of days and spectrum is just installing the internet now.

Will be watching one or both of those tonight. Hearing really good things about PREY. 🤝

I hate moving with a passion🥲

And it's one of those things where you have to do it yourself with friends and family. I used a moving company before and never again will I do that. Scratched my furniture and had thousands of dollars worth of stuff just randomly lost🤔..........

Yeah, my sibs are all spread out so I was really the only one that could help.

She had movers get. the big furniture but I had to drive the dogs and load the car up. Charged her $1500 more than her than the quote so I wasn’t happy about that. They did a good job for the most part getting everything in here but they’re a pain in the ass.

Ali's interviews for BBC1 are always fun to watch. You can tell the guy has done his homework when it comes to whatever actor or director he has to interview next, and the artists themselves seem to appreciate his vibe.

The one he had done with Ruffalo for Ragnarok was an instant a classic:

I liked Bullet train, wasn't the greatest but it was entertaining nonetheless. Carver is the best assassin 😉
